I can't wait to see Jon's entire interview. I think in spite of Jon's recent behavior, he tells it like it is. The interview he gave in Utah revealed a lot about the family that I know Kate was probably pulling her hair out that he said. He really hasn't given a decent interview and it is his turn to tell his side of the story. I don't agree with his recent behavior but he should have a turn to tell what happened in his eyes.
I think you're right about this -- he may not tell the whole truth, but I rarely feel like Jon's answers are rehearsed or determined by the PR people. IMO, once he gets talking, just about anything could come out of his mouth. That's good and bad -- it's pretty easy to take one of his sentences out of context and make it something that it's not (obvious his PR people have yet to convince him of the value of "sound bites") But if he wasn't prone to blabbing so much, we wouldn't see so many retractions from him (when he inadvertently disses TLC or the show), and we'd never know how he really feels about anything.
The Utah interview intrigued me -- I really felt like we got a glimpse of the real Jon there (and as I've stated before, he may not have been the preppy Jon that some people liked -- he got a lot of criticism for wearing that hat

BTW, I wonder if he's still in counseling -- I think he needs a refresher course, since I'm sure the counselor could inform him about how his public behaviour is going to affect his kids. Maybe he did go in for a check-up, since the Vegas weekend (despite how the tabloids wanted to portray it) ended up being pretty harmless. Seems to me Jon would be more willing to listen to the advice of a counselor than any PR person, TLC or Kate.
