A weekend of shopping, fashion, beauty, cooking and celebrities! Sound like fun? The second annual Cleveland Women's Show will have all that and more.

The show runs Friday through Sunday, Sept. 11-13, at Cleveland's International Exposition Center. The main celebrity attraction will be Kate Gosselin, sextuplets and twins mom of "Jon & Kate Plus 8," who will appear at 2 p.m. Sept. 11. Among other highlights, "Project Runway" season three designer Johnathan Kayne will present a trunk show of his prom and pageant gowns, and author and Cleveland native Lisa Black, a forensic specialist, will talk about her experiences as a crime scene investigator. Cleveland firefighters will strut the fashion runway all three days of the expo.

The show will host 350 exhibitors selling items ranging from cosmetics to cutlery along with a celebrity cooking stage. Chefs - including Carl Quagliata, owner of Giovanni's Ristorante; Loretta and Stefanie Paganini of the Loretta Paganini School of Cooking; Paul Minnillo of Baracelli Inn; and personal chef Andrew Casey - will give demonstrations every hour.

The spa-on-wheels, Artistry, will offer complimentary beauty treatments, minimakeovers and product samples. Fans of designer Peter Nygard will enjoy "Nine Easy Pieces/Body Jewels," a fashion presentation by Dillard's.

Cleveland firefighters will participate in a fashion show benefiting Aluminum Cans for Burned Children. Dissatisfied with your figure? Jazzercise experts will show you how to tighten those abs and strengthen that core. Jacquie Chakirelis of Momslikeme.com will talk about social networking and other issues.

Big giveaways include closet redos, laser eye surgery, washers and dryers, and flooring by Nature Stone.

There will be plenty of freebies to take home, too. "You'll need a shopping bag," said show manager Stacy Abernethy, "and comfortable shoes" to visit all of the show's boutiques and booths.

Abernethy's company, Southern Shows Inc. of Charlotte, N.C., puts on 11 women's shows annually throughout the United States. Last year, 13,000 people came to the Cleveland show. "We hope word of mouth will bring a lot more this year," she said.

In addition to all the glamour, free health screenings will be given by the Cleveland Clinic and Walgreens, including bone density tests, body-mass index calculations and blood pressure checks.

Jon Gosselin’s nanny and possible gal pal Stephanie Santoro is unfit to look after the Jon And Kate Plus 8 kids, according to one mom who spoke exclusively to RadarOnline.com about her relationship with the attractive brunette.

Kate Gosselin recently blew a gasket when she discovered that the cocktail waitress and single mom was helping Jon look after their eight kids at their home in Wernersville, PA.

“I don’t blame Kate for getting mad Stephanie is irresponsible in my opinion,” revealed the mom exclusively to RadarOnline.com.

“She helped baby-sit my kids once with a friend of ours and she ended-up going-on my computer without my permission and nearly destroying it.

Stephanie has a young daughter of her own through a relationship that did not pan-out and it’s her parents that spend most of the time looking after the child. She is always out doing one thing or another and the parents take the kid around with them all the time. To think that she could possibly responsibly look after eight kids belonging to someone else is just not practical, she’s still too young and immature.”

Santoro, 23, is currently living back at her parents’ home and is supposed to be working part time at a child’s clothing store as well as at Legends bar where she met and became friends with Jon.

But she harbors ambitions to become a model and believes that being associated with the womanizing reality dad could help put her in the public spotlight.

Our source added: “Her parents spent a fortune on getting studio photographs for her and she is determined to make it in modeling.

Stephanie lost a lot of weight and got a complete make-over and she knows that she is an attractive woman and how to work-it.”

Our source added this warning : “Jon Gosselin better watch-out because she is ambitious and is all about the money when it comes to getting involved with him. If Stephanie thought that he could financially look after her then she would totally go for that right now. She believes that she deserves a better life than the one she’s currently got.”

I can't find the links to support the info, but I'm reading on the blogs that Monday's ratings were down. They're saying way down, but I'll wait and see about that for myself.

Last week's rerun ratings number was dismal, although I don't know where it ranked for regular rerun ratings.

Hard to believe last year there was a Labor Day marathon leading up to the big hospital tour episode. and it's just a few shows a week.

How come TLC's been doing the hour long shows instead of half an hour?? Does it make a difference in their contract - like if TLC ordered 40 shows or do they "order" hours of footage or does anyone know how that works? I was curious why all of a sudden they're doing hour long shows instead of the half an hour ones - if it was still fufilling the contract with the episode/time commitment or if TLC's trying to drag this out. If they go by episode, wouldn't TLC already "behind" as they've shown the hour episodes and reruns instead of new shows every week? How long does the Gosselins (or TLC's) season run?

Alright...I found Jon on Twitter.......Anyone know anything about this:

Hey everyone, today marks the official start of the Jon Gosselin Children's Foundation- very excited to start this chapter of my life
5:10 PM Aug 31st from TwitterBerry

Alright....I don't think this looks like Jon??

It looks like the promo photo from the Wet Republic thing -- but you're right -- the small version doesn't look like him.

the numbers of episodes per season has varied with Jon & Kate Plus 8. I don't think there's a set number for TLC shows.

Season 1 - 8 episodes
Season 2 - 12 episodes
Season 3 - 31 episodes
Season 4 - 41 episodes

I have been since Monday. :upsidedow

I seriously hope Jon's Twitter is a fake. Wow.

O.K. I'm such a lurker, but I do have to say this and risk getting flamed or perhaps just contradicted. . . I can deal with that.

I do honestly think that Kate's behaviour has been verbally/emotionally abusive toward Jon on many occasions. She has made me cringe. I think I have also seen Jon shutting down (not an unusual response from an abused person) which can be interpreted as sulking. I've seen that some folk think that Jon gave as good has he got re. verbal abuse. Could someone point me towards the specific episodes where he did that? I've not seen every episode, but I haven't seen it. At all.

I am not a Jon fan. Who could be after his recent behaviour? I have worked with many (female) victims of spousal abuse. Some people do go off the rails more than a bit rejoicing in their freedom when they get away from the controlling abuser.

I hope the two of them can get back on track. I pity the chidren. They have to survive their way too public lives.

I totally agree. If the tables had been turned and Kate was ridiculed by Jon publically about her weight, intelligence, lack of hair and how good she looked back when he met her..., people would not have questioned that it was indeed emotional/verbal abuse.

So including the first part of season 5, are they really looking at having shot over 100 episodes in just 3 years? Wow. IF what Michelle Duggar said is true for the Gosselins that's 800+ hours of raw footage!:scared1: She said once, for them anyway, it takes about 8 hours of footage to get 30 minutes of edited, useable film.

It depends on how it is shot and what they are shooting. I don't watch the Duggar's show to be able to compare. With J&K a lot of it is "we're going to do this activity now" and they shoot it. Then they do the interviews another day.

I think that is because the Duggars are so darn boring. I disagree that Kate was "verbal abusive"...high-handed ABSOLUTELY! My husband has long said--he needed to get a handle on her. His old school way of saying that if he had stood up for himself now and then, Kate would have felt like she was dealing with an adult. But b/c her type of personality feeds on itself, his lameness just made her worse.

I think she has said one thing that is totally true, they probably weren't really meant for each other. They only thought it was the real thing. She seemed to work pretty hard at making him into the kind of spouse she wanted.

I think your DH was right. While I'm still undecided as to whether I'd call her verbally abusive (Walden's post is making me seriously re-think this), I think Jon standing up to her would have shown the kids that they can't get away with treating people like that. IMO, her talking to him like this in front of the kids and/or while taping had to have a negative effect on the kids. How would they know not to talk to each other this way, or to other kids, if their mother was doing it to their father? BTW, I got in an argument with DH in the car tonight -- DD was sitting in the back and she said "keep going -- I want to see how this turns out" :rotfl: She wouldn't have said that if she didn't think that our arguments never got out of hand or nasty, or that it wouldn't be resolved (BTW, I was right) IMO, as parents we are always modeling behaviour for our kids.

I have to agree with the 2nd part of your post too -- Kate wanted the "J &K +8" Jon, which he pretended to be for a while, but that wasn't really him. JMHO, you can only pretend to be something you're not for so long. I think it only works when the person they're trying to become is much happier that way eg. a high school drop-out who is encouraged to go back to school and make a career for themselves; it doesn't work when you're just trying to make somebody different than before.

OMG, I just burst out laughing. Good thing I had just swallowed my coffee. Your DD is hysterical!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Glad to know you were right. :thumbsup2

Now back to J&K+8. :goodvibes
