It's funny to me how they have to say she suddenly changed her mind. While that's certainly possible, it seems MUCH more likely to me that the gossip mags just got it wrong in the first place. But obviously they can't just admit that, LOL.

I wonder what happened, really. There's been very little that the media has gotten completely wrong.

I can't help but think that Kate intended to lease the place in Maryland, the media got ahold of it, and people's opinions forced Kate to reconsider her choice.

More than likely? The gossip was wrong. She went to a meeting with the Discovery people, had lunch in Rockville, and one thing led to another from there.

There have been no records of a purchase in Gosselin's name recorded in the area, and a sales representative at the condos where Gosselin was rumored to have toured said she'd never seen the reality star.

While Gosselin and her estranged husband Jon have agreed to alternate in and out of the home they once shared so that their kids can stay put, Jon has already moved in to a New York City bachelor pad. Kate is still deciding where to settle when she's away from her family.

"One thing is certain," says a friend of Kate. "Kate absolutely will not live far from her family, ever. Period. She would never choose to be so far from home."

Yeah...glad to see that rumor isn't true! I was very disappointed when I read that. Especially in light of the fact that Jon's last trip home was a flying trip in and out. I think pp is right...Kate (or at least her PR people) must be reading the posts.

I can hear kate now screaming. Bet we'll see a locksmith at the house on her first day pack to put a lock on the room with her stuff in it. Now if we can only get kate to try on some of jon's hardy stuff.

Jon is such an idiot. Its not like Kate will be in his NYC apt anytime soon wearing his $950.00 Prada shoes........how annoying.

oooh. that's an edited version of what the TLC statement is ... it left out this little tidbit:

"You're still going to see two parents that love their kids, but you'll be seeing them parenting separately," she said. "You'll see what it's like when Kate has to put up a tent for a backyard camping experience by herself. Or, you'll see Jon trying to cook up a pizza for the kids."

Viewers will see Jon and Kate date, O'Neill said.

"As far as new people and places that may be cycling into Jon and Kate's life, we are taking it on a case-by-case basis," she said.

I guess Kate didn't get the memo to lock her bedroom door. Jon may be hamming it up for the papp, but it is still another stab at Kate. I used to like Jon, but it's just about gone.
