Kinda OT, but is it just me or is Cara a tomboy? All these pics show her in tshirts and shorts, but on the show when she was younger, she dressed much more girly...am I wrong?

No, I think Cara is a tomboy type girl. Very common for girls that age once they start picking their clothes etc. My DD used to look like a boy who needed a haircut for several years. Esp. common when they like outdoors and sports which cara does.

I agree. I didn't watch,but I read that she said they had been having trouble for 6 months or more. When did they move in the house?

I disagree with this... kind of. Mainly just with the word scam. I know quite a few couples who have divorced and you don't just wake up one morning & get divorced. You pretend for a long time that things are going OK because you WANT them to be OK, even though they aren't.

A lot of people who do major things (renewal of vows, moving) are doing so to try & save a failing marriage. So it's not just to trick viewers or some well arranged scam, but trying to prove to yourselves that you can make it.

I agree, I don't believe that vow renewal was a total scam, but I do believe that Kate was the one who was trying and wanting things to be okay. I think Jon agreed to go along, but wasn't putting in any effort. I can say plenty of things about Kate, but I just do not believe she would talk to the kids about them being together forever for ratings. If it was a scam, telling the kids those things wouldn't have been neccessary, I really think Kate was hoping that is what would happen.

Okay, so throw in a paid California and Hawaiian getaway and twist their arms and they agree to renew their vows even though they were thinking of splitting. You don't split overnight so this must of been going on for months and months.

Jon is a low life. I have no respect for him at all. I really hope the money dries up and then he will see what women are interested in him. If he wasn't "Jon & Kate plus 8" does he really think he would be scoring all these young girls??? This girl is with him because he is loaded and she can have a great time with him. It won't last forever.

I would think her dad would be loaded -- probably not the money, really. I think it's the notoriety -- she's really posing for the camera.

Holy cow!! I just got back from vacation and Jon has a new girlfriend?? And it's the daughter of the plastic surgeon who did Kate's tummy tuck? What the heck is going on? He is such a pig, I'm sorry but I really think he is. How can you go traipsing around the globe with some young 20 something girlfriend and his divorce isn't even final?? What happened to Deanna? How can he already be in a relationship? Ok, I'm having information overload here! Wow, how nice that the kids will be able to see Dad with his new GF in all the tabloids. Geez, what a winner.

I know friends who have gotten new boyfriends after separation or divorce -- the rule of thumb is not to let the kids know it's a thing until it's a big deal. I would say the same about pictures in the press -- so it's a jerk move on his behalf. My DD is 9 and she knows how to google -- and yes, she did google me and found me (she found my thesis)

BTW, I have no problem with the age difference -- I'm 8 years younger than DH and we moved in together when I was 26. I used to like Ed Hardy clothing -- activewear -- but now that I see it on Jon, it's not looking so good to me.

I also think they've been truly separated for a loooonnnngggg time, maybe not since before the vow renewal, but a long time. I still want to know what Jon's "actions" were that caused Kate to file for divorce -- or whether she was just saying that to make herself look good.

I think she's pretty athletic. Most of what we've seen her wear until recently has been Gymboree, which is pretty girly looking.

ITA. My Inlaws were on the verge of divorce. My MIL was desprate to keep FIL. She planned a trip to Hawaii hoping that would keep them together. They had an ok time so as soom as they got back she planned a HUGE wedding vow renewal. He didn't want it. He told her things were not good but she still planned it anyway. FIl moved out FIL got a girlfriend MIL still planned it. She just didn't want to face the fact it was over. Good thing she came to her senses before the actual wedding day.

It is hard for most divorced women [sometimes men] to take off their wedding ring. Like, if you wear the same necklace for 10 years and then someone tells you to take it off, it feels weird without it. It's a habit, I guess.

Don't know anything about Ed Hardy but ITA agree about those pics and trips. I really believe it when he says that the most important thing to him is the kids. No wonder he said he was excited on the last episode. He had a fabulous trip planned.

I wonder, though .. how marketable is Jon Gosselin, being Jon Gosselin? What does he bring to a company outside of name recognition?

~ He's the dad of a large family... which isn't a bad thing. Just stating a fact.

~ He's a known marital cheater (as opposed, to cheating at Monopoly, or something like that )

~ He's claimed, in the past, to be a devout Christian .. again, not a bad thing, but his recent activities contradict his claims.

~ He doesn't like the media spotlight.

~ And he has a history of not being able to keep a job.
