She apologized again by saying I'm sorry, I like you. I felt it was a genuine apology. But it perfectly illustrates how she does get wrapped up in herself when they're out.
I thought she had apologized. She does tend to yell out at him. She usually says, I told you to do this or that, but I think he just zones her out, and then he gets yelled at. Like most husbands LOL. I wonder if the other poeple in the store have to sign anything, since they are on TV too.

I guess they mean privately as in "after I tell People magazine my side of the story and before Jon can tell his side".

....being 2 1/2 hours away (just did the google directions) is really not that far -- some people commute almost that far every day......

You "locals" can comment to this...

I know you can catch a train from Philly to NYC. Is this a more viable commute for Jon than driving? Are there trains near Berks County?

On another topic, obviously the People interview(s) was done before their statement came out in the last couple of days. Most of us here are saying they need to deal with this personally and not publically, so now they're taking that step....we can't critize them for that NOW.

....commute that far or put in 10-12 hour days at the office/working. Absolutely none of it ideal of course.

I wasn't criticizing them, just making an observation. It's easy to say that you want to handle it in private when you've already said what you wanted to say...

:thumbsup2 I just hope that they stick to it. They really do need to take care of things with some much needed nurturing!

No kidding!

Seriously though, I do hope they hold true to this new motto of theirs, keeping their mouths shut, so they can cope and focus on their little ones.

I just had a thought...imagine couples going through messy divorces and having media outlets at their fingertips and your emotions get the better of you? I'm guessing we'd see LOTS of People, In Touch, US Mag. and other tabloid interviews! Can you imagine the covers and interviews? "He said, she said, they said, we said, I wanted to say, he didn't say, she didn't say...wait what did I want to say again?" :lmao:

Totally OT but I got a pin code for the exact dates we're going to Disney in Oct.!!! If you knew me well, you'd understand that I have the worst luck in the world so this is unprecedented! :goodvibes

There are people who commute from Philly to NYC or from the northern suburbs (BUCKS county). Where they live is at least an hour from Philly. Amtrak runs from Philly to Harrisburg and I think there is a line that runs from Harrisburg to NYC, but I don't know how often that runs.

I don't see Jon as a commuter. I don't see him even as the type of person I would want to employ (hang out at a bar with, maybe):rotfl:

you bring up a good point about her being wrapped up in herself. But Jon told her that he was embarrassed by her screaming at him at Toys R Us. It's fine to be wrapped up in yourself but when someone you supposedly love is telling you that your behavior irritated them you should take a step back and evaluate.

If my husband ever spoke to me like that in public or private, I honestly don't know how much longer he would be my husband. I am a grown woman and screaming at me like I am a child will get nothing solved. Maybe he felt damned if you do damned if you don't, if he tried to exert himself he would have just gotten more of a verbal beat down. Kate's personality characteristics reminds me of the old black and white film " Kiss me Kate" based on Shakespear's "Taming of the Shrew", :rotfl:.
Just made myself giggle.

No way on the pin code!! That is awesome! I wish I was so lucky. It looks like we are just going to miss each other.

Just made myself giggle.

We were walking thru the line @ Haunted Mansion a few weeks ago and our kids (who are usually well behaved) started acting like maniacs. I turned around to DH and said, "sir, you really need to keep your kids under control they're very distracting to the rest of us" and walked off as though I didn't know him. That is something we often do to each other though as a joke, I never yelled and shortly after had DD3 on my hip.:)

My DD4 saw the previews for Monday's 10 year recap show. She informed me that her "favorite show" is "on at 10". Granted we haven't seen the show since all this hoopla started w/ Jon running around at all hours of the night. We weren't regualr watcher before that. Anyway... I had to explain to my DD why we weren't watching the show anymore. I just can't watch that family continue to self destruct. It was so sad to have to try to explain that Jon and Kate "didn't want to live in the same house together anymore" and the kids would "only live with mommy or daddy one at a time and not together". I thought DD was going to cry. She kept saying "But WHY, mommy?" :sad1:

I know in the whole scheme of things with the it being sad about the divorce, Jon moving, the new routine etc, I shouldn't even think about this, but I worry about Nala and Shooka. Kate said on the last episode that she will have the kids eat outside a lot this summer, with the easy clean up and all and she always wants the dogs crated when they eat. Maybe they could do a show with a dog trainer so the dogs don't have to be put up? Our dog lays around when we eat, they just need to be trained that taking food is unacceptable.

I guess I just worry that after the "schedule" gets put in place that the dogs will be crated quite a bit during the week.

That was so funny, and then you are busted by DD3:rotfl2:
I like your sense of humor.

OMG, that is such a good idea. TLC owns Animal Planet, they could bring on Victoria Stillwell, it's me or the dog. Too late for them to be on her show,:happytv:. But, she could give them some tips. If not her maybe one of the cops from Animal Precint . I think those dogs are beautiful, I think all dogs are beautiful. I don't think Kate is an animal lover, and to crate them with that huge yard, ugh. I think Jon is good to them, and I hope he would not let Kate hit them like she did to the little girl.

I was pretty sure I had seen promos for Kate doing an interview on the Today show (could explain why so many posters thought she had) but then it was only the reporter from People. Could be that by the time the show had aired and the article came out, her PR people had had a change of mind. And all of her statements are there in the article, nobody has the chance to question her on them -- but it looks like Jon won't be airing his side.

OMG! that was the 1st time I had seen that (and I thought the Crayola factory was bad) Still, she tried to blame him for not being in the right place every time she changed her mind about where he was supposed to be. I'm having a hard time even imagining what I would feel like if DH did that to me -- because I can't imagine anybody but Kate doing it. She reminds me of Maddy having a temper tantrum (not the other way around) -- and like she says she was "stressed" -- no excuse when you're an adult. Maybe she's the one who's immature.

And on the couch session about this, she then decides that he spent too much time saying something, proceeded to use even more time telling him what he should have said. Yes, you're right -- he was better off not bothering saying anything.

My brother is one year into owning a very big German Shepherd -- he already weighs nearly as much as I do. But, like he said, they shouldn't call it "puppy training" -- it's really "people training" Re the dog begging at mealtime -- he says that dog is big enough to steal food off the table, or anything if he wants to, but now that he has his kids trained not to feed him...

To be followed up with the newest version called "Kiss me Deanna"!

:lmao: Seriously!

I know! I stil can't believe our good luck. We saved something like $1600 since it was a free dining code and we're paying for us and our in-laws. It does look like we'll miss each other with our trips...we arrive late the night of Oct. 25th. I hope you have a fabulous time, I want to try Animal Kingdom Lodge next after we do the Polynesian!:thumbsup2

Love this idea! My 6 year old's tantrums are really few and far between now but this is good to know! My DH would be in shock and I would be laughing like crazy.

My kids LOVE that show! They think Victoria Stillwell is THE dog expert and that our neighbors who have dog problems should call her!

You all will NEVER believe what DH and I saw yesterday. We were driving behind a car that kept slamming it's brakes and swerving. I thought he was drunk or something so I passed him. As we did so, we looked over at his car and his wife was punching him in the face! No word of a lie! It was the craziest thing I've ever seen and we were shocked. What is wrong with people?? :confused3
