The only place I could find this was what someone wrote on Hollywood gossip. But there are many incorrect items in that persons post, so I'd have to hear it from Kate or Jon or the actual pastor.

I wonder if this is being confused with K & J leaving her father's church.

Someone have a link from a real source, such as K & J?

I haven't heard about their current church, just Kates parents church.

I don't think you would hear it from Kate & Jon as far as a "source" , they can't even be truthful about their relationship now. I don't believe anything either of those two say.

Ok...so I should start by saying that I haven't watched any of the new episodes this season. I have them on DVR, but I can't bring myself to sit down and watch them because of all the stuff that is going on.

It's at the point with me that the only people that I'm willing to believe almost anything they say is Jon or Kate. They are the only ones that know exactly what is going on.

I flipped through the magazine with the article about how they are being asked to leave their church. I can see how this is bringing a lot of bad publicity to the church, but how can "Christians" turn their back on a couple that obviously needs all the help they can get?

I love the show and especially the kids, but I think it needs to quietly disappear so Jon and Kate can either work things out or get a divorce. It's just sad because when you look back at how happy they were during their vow renewal in Hawaii or when they said they could never get divorced because Jon wouldn't be able to afford the child support for 8 kids....

I know what you mean...I haven't watched the last 2 episodes and don't plan to watch anymore of the show. The season premiere was truly heartbreaking and I felt like an intruder viewing their marriage problems in a way. It was strange.

As far as believing only what J&K say, that's difficult too. I feel like they're trying to spin it to their own individual advantage to make themselves look like the victim. We know they both do not think they are exploiting their kids so they are equally to blame in my book. The tabloids are loving all the scandal because it's generating revenue for them. I really am wondering just how deeply TLC is involved in all this because they are surely enjoying the profits.

I haven't heard about the church kicking them out. Actually I thought Jon had recently taken the kids to church while Kate was away. I think I read it somewhere but of course can't remember now! That would be bizarre if they did so since as Christians you should help those in need. Maybe there was some kind of fallout or they (the church) feel the members are being hassled because of all the media attention? Who knows but I'm curious if this rumor is true.

Ok...I just watched the Cake Boss episode and I thought the kids were adorable and Jon was a jerk for being away on her birthday.

I thought Kate handled the cake mess pretty well....I probably would have flipped out...

I don't understand the truthful about their relationship part of your post. I thought they were both pretty clear that it's not going well, and they don't know if they will make it. I certainly don't think they are pretending that all is well. At this time, I don't know if either are having affairs, I just know I have seen some pictures that wouldn't go over well in my marriage.

If they are getting help, (and I have nothing to say they actually are), I hope they keep it private, although everyone will want to know if they are and how it is going. If they do get help, good for them, and I hope it works out. If they don't, people will be all over them like fleas on a dog, saying they shouldn't play that out in public.

Other than that, I'm not sure what other truths they owe us.

How about the fact that if this whole scandal with Jon hadn't broke, they'd still be putting on a show in order to continue with J&K+8? Look at the difference from the season premiere compared to the Emeril episode? We know that those earlier episodes were filmed before the scandal. How was that being truthful? They were perpetuating (pre-scandal) an image of themselves that has kept the show going. I'm sure they understood fully that if their image became tarnished then the show would be in jeopardy. Look at all the dirt that has been coming to light. Sheesh, look at the big cliffhanger season 4 finale...J&K are talking about Jon's inability to handle the attention from the show, will they be back for season 5? Maybe, maybe not. Then what? They began filming almost immediately. Not what I'd call truthful.

The fact that people feel they are 'owed' the truth is simply that J&K have put themselves and family on TV for the whole world to see, they are being brought into people's homes every week. Lots of viewers feel they know J&K and the kids because of what they view on their TV's.

I think it was more that Kate got herself a bottle water, took sips and then put it aside knowing that Mady had been asking for some. It looked a little heartless to be honest. If she hadn't asked for water for herself then I'd understand it more but to get that bottle, drink it in front of Mady and put it aside? Not very nice. And all because they were about to be interviewed.

Why did Kate ask for water and take a drink herself then? You know, the water isn't really the main issue. It's the attitude towards Mady. How nice it would have been to say," I know you're thirsty, it will just be a few minutes"? It's like Mady doesn't even exist. Which brings me to the next big issue; that these kids are working. They are on set, not kids being themselves being filmed doing everyday things. Mady probably has been sitting a long time and doesn't want to be there. None of the kids looks especially happy. That is the sad part. Why do they have to sit and look pretty while Kate interviews? well, I'm going to say it...like little props.

Everything Kate does is for the kids.

We can call all these shows reality shows, and demand that they open their entire lives to us, but the only way that would be true, is if it was like Big Brother and we could see them 24/7 on the computer and know stuff was being hidden from us. That would be reality. This is just a show. Much of it scripted.

The whole premise of the show is that they're a family making it work with 8 little kids right? Well if part of that family (J&K) are falling apart, having affairs, whatever, then the image has changed. How did we find that out? Jon getting caught. It seems at least to my point of view, that they would have been willing to continue with the farce of still being together if Jon hadn't gotten himself caught with his female friend. You don't consider that untruthful? Remember, J&K have put themselves (and sadly their kids) into our living rooms to see. They chose to live this reality TV life. So people expect the image that originally charmed them into watching the show to continue. Yes, I did notice the coolness between them the end of season 4 but there's a huge difference between not getting along on the show and J&K leading seperate lives. Kate is away, Jon is home. Vice versa. Know what I mean? Personally I'm done with the show and honestly wish J&K could work out their issues especially for the kid's sake. Who knows if that will happen or not. They certainly owe it to them after all the hours they've had to endure while being filmed, groomed, interviewed and now chased after by the paparazzi.

I totally agree about the water issue. If the kids are thirsty, either get them a drink or not, but don't drink in front of them.

Heck, yes they are working. It's not just fun and games for them. For Kate to continually deny that the kids are really working is a joke.

That's what I was trying (in vain) to convey in my post above. Kate has said many times that it's the realest reality show out there. Whether or not that's true, Kate knows that perpetuating that image will keep the show going.

While of course everyone is concerned for the kids, beyond that concern, I don't see this show as anything more than a show. I don't believe they owe me anything. I don't know much of anything about this couple and never did, even after watching 4 seasons. It's a show, one that TLC is probably making the most money on. What they choose to show us is what they choose to show us, and I have no idea how long they have or haven't gotten along or even if they are now together. What part of their lives they want to keep private is their business. I have no idea if they are working on their marriage or if they are together or apart. I've always thought all of these 'reality' shows are just that..shows and people are trying to make a living doing them. I have no doubt that there is a lot of money involved, and I just see it as the adults doing their jobs and trying to hold it together..maybe for the kids, maybe for themselves. In their minds, maybe they thought showing their good parts would make it so.

So no, I haven't thought of this as being lied to. They may be a real family, but it really is just a television show, one that I have enjoyed.

If she feels it's reality, then maybe it was meant to play out just as it has. Hey, even hiding that there were problems can be reality. How many here, when they have problems with their spouse forge ahead until they can't any longer? I'm not in either of their heads, I have no idea what they were thinking, if they were trying to fix the problem, if they knew they would separate, if they talked divorce, if they were fullfilling a two year contract and were trying to make the best of it. How many here have friends that were divorced and it came out of the blue (for you)? Maybe they continued to live together and try to make it work. Still went to family dinners and school plays together. Was that a lie? Or just a couple trying to work it out in their own way and not totally lose all they have? So if people wanted reality, maybe this is reality. And now maybe divorce will be reality.
