okay fine I'll give you all the Pamela part as I can't find anything to dispute it but I still think keeping the Gosselin name makes the whole thing sound vey fishy.

Actually, I'm pretty sure her name is Pamela. I think it was in an interview I read w/Jon. I'll try to look for it, but I'm not sure I can find it. I think his Dad's name was Thomas.

Jon's father is dead. He isn't her ex-husband.

I don't think it's that unusual for someone to keep a last name as part of how they're recognized when they were married to someone for so long .. that's part of who she is.

I also think, in this case, she's much more marketable as Pamela Gosselin

Investigators will have to decide whether the Gosselins' house in southeastern Pennsylvania is essentially a TV set where producers direct much of the action -- in which case the law may apply -- or a home where the kids aren't really working but are simply living their lives, albeit in front of the cameras

I don't have anything to add to the discussion right now I just thought that was an interesting way to think about the situation. I had wondered if the house was a write off for taxes because of its intrinsic value to creating the show.

Holy cow! I just read that article Madge posted about the kids going to boarding school. It can't be true. Yet, it would solve their investigation by the PA child labor dept. That's just weird. I read the whole thing and kept expecting them to say something sarcastic so I would know it was a joke. I can't imagine Jon signing on to do a show with ONLY Kate! Wow, that sure wouldn't be pretty.:

If the house was a write off that would mean it was a business, is that right? So that would mean that they are working in that house. Here is the thing though, can you just say the parents are working or would it include the whole family?

There is no way this is true. As I was reading it I just kept seeing the desperate housewives. They say everything they do is for their kids and this would not be for their kids. I think someone is just messing with everyone.

I posted an episode description from Desperate Housewives on the last thread. The show description was J&K to a T!

Don't forget that tonight at 9 pm on Etv they are having the Jon and Kate-twisted fate. I am sure it will be everything we already know. I mean, nothing gets past us here!

I am beginning to think that people are snowballing this whole thing out of control as revenge against Kate. They seem to think that she deserves what she's getting for having such a strong personality.

As I've said, in the beginning it was complaining about her freebies from Gymboree. It has almost been like sharks have been waiting for a crack so they could swarm. Her detractors have gotten exactly what they wanted. And from what I can see, they (meaning Jodi, Julie, Kevin, GWOP) are proud.

And, no, I don't think the kids are being forced to perform. As far as I can tell, it's passive for them. They do what they do and a camera films them.

Personally, I think they are doing it because they are probably being over run with complaints and they want to shut everyone up. I double anything will come from it. I say that but at the same time how awesome would they be in the media if they are the ones to shut them down. I guess you can look at it either way.

No flames here. I agree with you about the kids. I don't think the younger ones mind it. At least from what TLC has let us see. I think the older ones do, but the younger ones seem to enjoy it. They run up to the camera and smile and talk to the camera people. It is probably the how they can stay normal talking to normal people calm people.
