Ok I've been trying to research this "corporation" Jon mentioned in the Utah interview but I can't find anything....I'm sure they're smart enough to not have it be something obvious. I was just looking to see if it was really true but can't find anything to support it

I also can't get sixgosselins.com or the show schedule to come up on TLC's website. Think they're in the middle of making some changes?? I don't frequent either of those sites but thought I would just "check in" to see what's new on there and can't get to the parts I was interested in TLC's tv schedule) or in to the site at all (sixgosselins.com).

Give me a break!! Kate feels that she OWES it to us to keep the show. Also is their a pool at the new house? I don't remember seeing it, but in the latest pics of Jon in the driveway there's a pool man truck. Yay, pool party's at Jon's house.

This is also from that same article:

TLC supplies a security guard for the family when they leave home — which comes in handy now that the tabloids are stalking the couple...while Kate is now dealing with a report that says she's involved with a family bodyguard, Steve Neild

So I guess my question is, does TLC only pay for the "security" when the family's not at home and J&K are paying for the "bodyguard" or are they just playing with words in the article?? It sound like two seperate things to me but I was curious to see how others saw it or if you could educate me in any way.

Kate makes references in her speech about the "probably a million" emails they've gotten .. how can they stop the show? She was saying that before the firestorm of tabloid coverage.

And as far as I remember, they do have a pool at the new house.

I wonder the same thing. It almost sounds like Jon and/or Kate pay for the bodyguard (Steve), and TLC pays for a bodyguard. Two separate people.

If I was going to be on TV all the time, I'd be getting tanned and my teeth whitened! And if I could, I'd get someone else to pay for it! Maybe I'm greedy, maybe she's greedy, but pasty white skin + being on film don't go well together.

Well, Jon is awfully tanned these days also. I think maybe they own a tanning bed! They do both look more attractive with a tan.

"Hate" is a very strong word.. Do you really think people "hate" her - or do you think people don't approve of how this whole thing has gone down?

Just because people don't approve of some of the things that she (and Jon) have done, doesn't mean that they "hate" them and would actually try to physically harm them.. Personally, if I were in Kate's shoes and felt there was any kind of "danger" involved, the body guards would be for the kids - not me..

That's definitely reaching on Kate's part. Yep, the fans made them the success they are, but I doubt Kate really feels she owes them. Just looking for a quote or sound bite.

Nobody was banging on the family's door before TLC came around. If so, the frantic and overmatched couple would have welcomed the help.

Kate has said that they had between 15-20 people A DAY helping them when the 6 were small and that continued well into their 2nd year.

She "owes" the fans?? How about what she owes her children?? A shot at a normal, private life - without their parents photos appearing all over rag sheets, magazines, etc.. I think she needs to get her priorities straight..

Is there something to support this? Not trying to be mean - just curious. Kate and I pack alike (we have to fit in everything we can - God forbid we leave something at home!) so I would LOVE to see how she packs for a trip overseas! I'm already planning what I'm going to pack when we go to MI this summer to see family and am worried there won't be enough room in the van! I can't imagine packing for 10 for an extended trip!

She has said on the show and in interviews that she would like to recreate a trip that Jon took when he was 19. Jon has said in interviews that he went backpacking through Europe and Korea when he was 19. So, pretty much connected the dots on that one.

Where are you going in MI? We may be taking a trip to Traverse City when it finally warms up there.
