she only mentioned the cost effectiveness a couple of times. the bigger benefit, IMO, is all the tax stuff they mentioned.
and this is a totally stupid question, maybe ... does the sun shine enough in Pennslyvania (or any other part of the northeast) in the winter to make solar panels worth it? I didn't listen to the lesson about turning the sun into energy, LOL.
they're not ragging on him about that .. but people have noticed how "familiar" he was. and I did point out there was witty banter![]()
i have to wonder about the solar panels in pennsylvania as well. we know of a contractor who did his whole home up with solar and despite having a back up system (strictly back up, not enough to run a home for weeks on end) he's had to pack it in on multiple occasions both of the last 2 winters and find alternate lodging for himself and his family. the way he tells it the solar's great so long as the system is getting the solar exposure but if you go too many days and use up all your stored capacity, while you might be able to deal with dim lights and no television, might be able to use your bbq to cook meals-going without hot water and heating your home can make it unlivable. and if you live on acreage that utilizes a well-you won't be getting any water pumped into your home at all
