Yeah, that was one of the 3 I had seen before. I don't know, to me they all look like Jon was just taking a pic for a fan- granted I'll say he does look drunk, or pretty buzzed, but I just don't see it as that damaging. Maybe it's just me. I guess I just picture in my head that he (probably more Jon, because I don't see him saying no) and Kate probably both take pic's with fans often and it's more their norm, but who knows.

All the pictures look like "fan" pictures to me. Totally innocent (expect for how drunk he appears to be). None of these photo's proves anything except that he has been bar hoping while visiting his mom.

What I see, is some he definately looks flushed and drunk. But again, is it really surprising that from a reality show that starts out wonderful and living "Kate's perfect" family. Would start to be realistic, it is surprising because it has been on for awhile, but the gossip behind has been going on for awhile also.

iam shocked by the reaction to these pics on other blogs...its seems pretty obvious they are fan pics!..He is even posing for the camera..in fact the pics I've seen were taken the same night i think as he has on the same shirt and sweater.
What on earth is wrong with a married man going to a bar for a few drinks?..Am I missing something..
My DH works 200 miles away during the week...occassionaly he will visit a bar after work for a couple of drinks with colleugues?...Is that so shocking?
He has even been known ..shock horror..to speak to a woman colleugue!!

Hey I've even been known to visit a bar with friends myself..I didn't realise they were off limits to marrieds
Iam not slating you guys here..you all have a sensible aproach...but goodness those guys over on GWOP..they are desperate for something like Jon cheating to be true ....Sad bunch of low lifes ...they hide behind the fact they want the kids to have a "normal life"..when really they are pig sick with envy over the Gosselins life.

I think they have a good marriage..(similar to dh and I) ...They are not perfect..but who is?...A lovely family..and those kids have a GREAT life!!...The peeps on GWOP should try feeling sorry for some of the homeless kids living in poverty without loving parents out there

No concrete proof of what? I think this is getting blown up out of all proportion....as a PP stated, if he had been kissing/whatever someone would have snapped it (who doesn't have a camera phone?), and as for saying 'it would be hidden'. Nope, can't see that - these things always leak out, sooner rather than later.
He was out in a bar and a couple of 'fans' asked for a photo, not an unusual thing to happen to someone 'semi' famous. There are loads of local footballers round here who get asked to pose for photos all the time when they're out. Most of them are married with children.
Just because you are a married Christian with children doesn't mean you can't go out for a drink now and again. It's not like he's never had a drink before - in the epidsode where they went to the Florida Keys for his birthday he was drinking in the restaurant when Kate told him all about it.

Totally agree! My marriage must be on the rocks then. I think it's healthy for a marriage to spend time with friends. I have loads of photos like that taken on works night outs, as does my hubby.

Can't see that anything is really going to come of this - execpt for the fact people are getting their knickers in a twist, well till the next 'big thing' comes out.

Why does Jon look really weird in all of these pictures that keep popping up? At first I thought maybe it was a strange moment when the shutter snapped, but he looks...older? Or something. Is he wearing make-up on the show? I never thought it wasn't him (like some other's have mentioned), but the more I see these, the more he looks really odd. Not just drunk, but different.

My first thought was that he looked much younger...fuller in the face. Maybe those photos aren't even recent.

I think the big issue here is not that he is out drinking, but where he is chosing to do it at college bars. Both Kutztown and Hunginton Pa are small towns with college campuses and of all the places you decide to go for a drink it is where all the college students are hanging out. I know the bar in Kutztown has a more expensive restaurant above the bar called Kutztown Tavern, but the article mentions that the pictures are taken in Shorties not upstairs where the locals would be eating and drinking. If nothing else you do have to wonder what he is thinking hanging out with college age kids.

If nothing else the drama is fun to watch.

iam confused...what does renewing your vows last year and saying you will be together forever have to do with Jon not going out to the odd bar??

So If me and dh had renewed our vows last year you would think he should not go out?

I know everyone has differing opinions on jon and kate...it is my opinion that they are a happy married couple with a great life who adore their kids..Kate and Jon both have flaws...don't we all!!!...I can guarantee if any one of us here was on television with a similar show.there would be blog sites set up slating and hating us..all of us..Because we ALL have flaws and parts of our personalities and marriages that other people will disagree with.

Iam a christian...a catholic..so id DH..we have the odd drink..and the very odd night out..we argus (sometimes )...we have been together nearly 20 years since we were kids..we have had rough times and fantastic times..BUT we love each other very much and our two kids are our world....But crikey if we were on TV..i bet we would be hated too..

I said this way back in February when the picture came out.
Jon chose the wrong area to hang out.
I have no problem with him going out with his friends,
but you have to choose the appropriate place and going back to a college town, bar atmosphere is asking for trouble.
Kate has mentioned a few times that Jon is younger than her, so what, so is my husband. That doesn't give you a "free pass" to start living your 20's over again.

Even if Jon's faith tradition/religion condoned the use of alcohol (which I seriously doubt they do), many of the Gosselin's speaking engagements take place in churches where the use of alcohol is strictly frowned upon. That alone is enough reason to keep the bar hopping to a minimum. Church people tend to take that stuff very seriously. At least the ones in my part of the country do.

Can I just ask why you are assuming this about their religion and alcohol? There have been a few episodes that we have seen where they are drinking. One of them being the Asian restaurant they went out on a date to, I believe it was in Utah? They were drinking wine. Then the episode of Jon's birthday where Kate told him they were going to the Florida Keys, they were drinking wine and I did see sake on the table as well. I've watched every episode and I don't remember them ever saying that their religion does not condone drinking. If it did, I apologize if I missed it and would like someone to tell me which that was please.

I disagree. These pictures aren't totally innocent, especially when you factor in the In Touch & Star Magazine articles ... as well as rumors on message boards ... and finally, the Valentine's Day article by Kelly Dinardo.

Jon is a married man. A married man whose made $$$ on a show about his devoutly Christian family. Now, I know that there are plenty of Christians that drink and I don't know what the Gosselin's faith tradition says about drinking. But I do know that regardless of what their church believes, it sets a bad example for Jon to be drinking in public .. especially if he's not with his wife and is posing for pictures with young girls.

I can't stand to see real celebrities boozing and carousing away from their families, either. Makes me sick.

Right, but it's not like you have fans asking you for pic's either- or at least I'm assuming not -And let's face it, like I said before, Jon seems like a nice guy and I just don't see him easily saying no to a fan asking for a pic. I don't know, don't get me wrong, I think for the shows purpose and their image, Jon has made some bad judgement calls, but I really don't see any proof that it's any more than that. It will be interesting to see if churches stop asking them to make appearances, and honestly I wouldn't blame them; it's probably not the image their wanting to promote, but I see it as only that.

Sorry, I think you misunderstood me when I wote that. I meant when Kate told him all about the holiday she had organised. She was drinking wine too that night and didn't have a problem with Jon drinking.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this subject. I honestly don't think it's a big deal. But I agree with you about what people are saying about the kids - absolutely disgusting! How do they think they're 'helping'?
