I understand the pedicure, but why oh why does a 4 year old need someone rubbing her legs and arms? Is it to relieve the stress of preschool?

Kids get dry skin too, especially with all the swimming they were doing. They were probably rubbing on lotion

I found out something interesting today. Everyone is wondering (including myself) where all of their family is -- what happened to Jodi, Beth, etc. Well, here is what I found out and I think it makes sense:

TLC came to Jodi and Beth's husband with contracts for the next season, so they could get paid for filming them and their homes. Kate said No Way. Only she an Jon can make money off of the kids, no one else. So there you have it. I have no reason to believe it's not true. I got it from multiple sources and I think Jodi used to vent on a blog but took the entries down so she could get some closure to the whole thing.

Hey, I got stressed out at pre-school!! Of course, maybe it was because I was underpaid and overworked (hello, 24 three year olds!!).

The blog isn't Jodi's it is her sister, or at least someone claiming to be her sister.

According to someone who claims to be on the inside, Jodi was asking for "a seven figure salary" and TLC/figure 8 turned her down.
As I have already said here, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle


As for "multiple sources" unless they are all independent of each other, how do you know they didn't all get the information from the same origional place.
Repeating a rumor more than once doesn't make it valid.

Why do you have no reason to believe it is not true?

This theory is not new. In fact it sounds very much like what Jodi's sister had posted on her blog. Are your sources all the posters on GWOP? Because they don't like Kate very much, I'm positive about that.

I actually saw the video Jodi posted on her sister's blog before she apparently took it down.

She was very tearful, stating that what her sister had been writing about was true, and she hoped that someday everyone would be able to get over it so she could see the kids and stuff again.

The sister had posted the stuff about Kate not wanting Jodi to get paid, how Jodi was upset after the whole gum fiasco, etc...

Who knows what the real story is, but Jodi was definitely upset and seemed very sincere.

I don't remember her being tearful, just stating that the blog was true and no major details.

I don't know who or what I believe. I used to work with a seriously insane person, that had half the work place convinced she was a hard worker and sane, but in reality she was a nut job. So just because someone "seems" sincere, doesn't mean that they are.

I also watched her video, and don't remember her being tearful either. I did think she seemed like perhaps an overly sensitive person, though. As far as your experience with someone who was insane, I have a family member like this. People who do not know her think she is the sweetest, most timid person. But she is really quite vindictive and cannot maintain a friendship or other relationship. I'm not saying Jodi is insane by any means, I just think you have a valid point that what people portray to others is often a performance. Jodi's video seemed like a performance to me. I am also one that believes the truth is somewhere in the middle.

But that is coming from Jodi. It's only one side of the story. Of course her sister is going to try to make her look like the innocent victim in all of this.

Jon and Kate put a message on their website that said none of that stuff was true. So should we believe them just because it's on a website?

I think highly of Beth for not dragging Jon and Kate through the dirt. She's not on the show anymore and that's the end of it. No need to post things about how crazy and self centered Kate is. I would love to know why we don't see her anymore, but we don't even know if Beth and Kate have even parted ways. For all we know, they could still be spending every Sunday together.

This person that I worked with was truly a piece of work. She had everyone (me included for awhile) convinced that she worked so hard and everyone else was mean to her blah blah blah, but the truth is that she was honestly evil and enjoyed playing the victim. It got scary because once she thought you "crossed her" she was out to get you and had people in high places convinced she was a saint. If you tried to tell people about the "real her" they just looked at you like YOU were the crazy one.

Wow...my blood pressure just went up thinking about the crazy witch....

Just goes to show that no matter what we see on tv or "hear" on the internet we don't know the "real" Kate or Jodi.

The Real Housewives show never started out as a series people felt they could relate to, though. Bravo (is that the channel?) never marketed it that way.

Yes the "housewives" have always been over the top, but J & K started out as "regular" family trying to raise 8 kids, at the beginning they were working, budgeting, etc. It has changed now.

Another one who watched the video here While she did not break out in tears, she had that "on the verge of tears" tone in her voice as she was describing what was happening. It seemed to me she was trying hard to keep her emotions in control while they were taping.

I think highly of Beth for not dragging Jon and Kate through the dirt. She's not on the show anymore and that's the end of it. No need to post things about how crazy and self centered Kate is. I would love to know why we don't see her anymore, but we don't even know if Beth and Kate have even parted ways. For all we know, they could still be spending every Sunday together.

I think that's a very good point.

I'm inclined to believe that Kate & Beth do not have a good relationship at this time... and I'm basing that on the fact that Beth did not participate in the promotion of the book, and her name is on the cover. That may be a totally incorrect assumption on my part, though.

As someone who watched the Jodi video, I don't remember her crying. What I do remember is that she seemed exhausted. I felt like what she had to say was genuine. With that said, Julie and Jodi created this situation ... Julie posted the blog, but Jodi must have okayed it. Without the blog, Jodi's story would have remained on Facebook... and would have probably died down much quicker. I'd be curious to know if Julie & Jodi would make the same decision today, about posting the blog, knowing what they know now. Knowing that they'd be drug through the mud and at the end of the day, JK8 is still on TV and the Gosselins as marketable as ever.

All things we'll never know. LOL.
