Any one stay there?
How long is the walk to the parks we won't have a car.
Any input would be appreciated:thumbsup2

My friend used to work at the Jolly Roger, in the sales department. If you stand and face the entrance to DCA, and walk straight to the back of the park, through the fence, and across Katella, you're there. It really is "across the street."

The hotel is near the corner or Katella and Harbor. If you walk to Harbor, cross at the light, and walk to the pedestrian entrance on Harbor, it shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes MAX (probably much less....5-7 minutes?)! I found this. I hope it helps:

Have fun! :cutie:

..can you cut through that fence???? sure would like to know since we're staying there again for the Expo and last time we went around to the main entrance and it was a solid 20 minutes. We did see an an entrance of sorts..maybe a parking lot? is that walkable to cut through?
Anyway..we stayed there for the Expo in 2009 and have booked for 2011. It is super close to the Convention Center and like I said, about 20 minutes to the park..not bad. The rooms were fine, remodeled, the outside is still kind of shabby..(tears in carpet stairs..my friend and I had adjoining rooms and the door between wouldn't open, so the maintainence guy came with a screwdriver and just popped it open :scared1:) The price was right, but I was a little irritated that the rates have gone up this year. It is ok for off site property, but no where near as good as many on Harbor, Candy Cane, HoJo, etc.
Also..do not have the front office guy call a cab for you..I did that and got an UNMETERED cab...I wasn't overcharged, but still...

That fence is closed now due to CarsLand. You'll have to walk all the way up Harbor to the main entrance. It used to be that you could cut thru the Katella fence and catch the tram to the entrance. No more.

I agree, the walk is more like 15-20 minutes to get to the main entrance.

Jolly Roger gets pretty mixed reviews -- see tripadvisor.com

BW Stovall's is a good choice if you want to stay on Katella and the walk is no problem if you cut thru the Grand Californian.
