Joking with characters

I LOVE joking with the characters! I especially love trying to get the characters inside the full-body costumes to try to break character!

At 1900 Park Fare, Prince Charming and two mice (their names escape me) came by. One of the mice leaned up against me and made a long, drawn-out kissing sound. I chuckled and said, "That's a girl in there, right?" The next sound I heard was the actress inside trying - and failing - to stifle a giggle.

Somewhere at DHS, I posed with Jesse and asked "Is that a girl in there?" She gave me this look that seemed to say, "Why would you ask something like that?!"

Outside of MK, I posed with Frollo. As my wife aimed the camera, I asked, "Who's this guy? Frodo?" He didn't laugh, but he did strike an angry pose.

If I ever get a chance to pose with Big Al, I'm going to ask, "Who's this guy? Weird Al?"

I'll have to ask Chip and Dale if they still hang out with Gadget, Zipper, and Monterrey Jack when we go next month.

My husband was taking a picture of me and the Wicked Queen and he goes "Say Sleeping Beauty".... She goes "Wrong princess you imbasle" lol

Chip and Dale are by far some of the best. I called them muskrats. They chased me around the park and Chip stole my hat. He gave it back but only after I told him "you're number one."
Hook I love to mess with by doing the "HOOK HOOK HOOK" chant from Robin Williams version of the movie.
I got Jasmin to break character once when she saw one of my famous KISS shirts and asked me about it. She was asking what it was. I told her it was music. She said "what kind?" I said "heavy metal like Genie's lamp." She had to stifle a laugh.
There's lists out there of what to say to characters to get a good reaction. Google is your friend.

I was in a wheelchair last time i went, so as a result i had the wheelchair seating for the parade in magic kingdom. During the parade several characters came very close to me. The best was grumpy. He stood in front of me with his arms crossed. I reached out and "poked" his nose. He flailed his arms and shook his finger at me before moving on. It completely made my day!

My Dad ran up to Donald Duck and told him he was so excited to meet his favorite... Mickey Mouse! Donald's reaction was hilarious. He wouldn't even talk to him for a minute, just turned his back and crossed his arms. It was great.

I did the same thing with Pluto and Goofy! I got myself totally confused and was so "star struck" that I got mixed up. Pluto was terribly insulted to be called Goofey, and my 4 YO DGD was hysterical! Totally unplanned, and I was so embarrassed!

This is more characters joking with people, but during a recent Electrical Parade, a woman was watching/recording the entire thing on her iPhone, oblivious to anything outside the frame of her screen. The Snow White float came by, followed by the dwarfs.

Grumpy walked over to her (she was at the front of the crowd) and stood an inch from her phone, his nose filling the screen. I took it as him not just being grumpy/malicious, but also saying "Wake up, you're missing the parade".

My daughter had bought a stuffed animal Tigger shortly before we went to meet Pooh, Tigger and Rabbit. When we were close to meeting them, I told her to get her Tigger out of the bag so that she could have her picture made with Tigger and mini-Tigger.

When the kids got up there, they met with Pooh first. Tigger saw me holding mini-Tigger, and held out his hands for it. He really loved seeing that my daughter had a smaller version of him.

Tigger very happily showed Pooh, who was happy for him. When he showed Rabbit, Rabbit looked at it, put his hands on his hips, looked at me, looked back at Tigger and mini-Tigger, and then gave me with a "how dare you look."

I shrugged my shoulders and told Rabbit that he would have to talk to my daughter, not me
