I am planning a JoJo Circus Party for my 2 year old in October. I plan on serving carnival/circus type foods - possibly renting or buying a popcorn machine/cotton candy machine and will hire a clown. Although she is small, she has an older sibling, and many cousins and family friends who will be attending it usually runs 35-50 people total based on previous parties of my older daughter.
I would like to set up several "booths" for games for the kids to play. Most of the children will be between the ages of 5-9. So far I have a bean bag toss, and duck pond, but would like to come up with at least 2 more.
Also, does anyone have any ideas of where to buy carnival type toys, I have already checked Oriental Trading Company and most of the party stores that sell JoJo items online.
ANy suggestions from someone who has had this type of party would be helpful.

Here is a website that I use for party ideas.

you can just type in what type of party and pages will show up of ideas from peoples past parties

I did a circus themed party for DS 3rd bday. We had a bounce house and a small edging for the to "tight rope" walk on. I made 3 round cakes and made it like a 3 ring circus. Cake mixes are Cheap.
1cake - a clown face (used M&M)
2Cake - Wilton Circus figures- used animal crackers on the sides
3cake- Had a figure (man with top hat from Thomas Tank) and wrote on there HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hope this helps -some!!

We had a JoJo themed party for DDs birthday in July. I got all the table ware at www.birthdayexpress.com
Other ideas for games...
~tossing a soft ball to knock over a pyramid of 3 soda cans
~bowling with empty soda bottles..decorate them in bright colors..or a kids bowling game
~ring toss
~I know a popular carnival game is tossing the ping pong balls into fish bowls and the prize is a fish...could use gummy fish or stuffed ones.
~a guessing jar full of jellybeans or something is always fun

we had a Jojo party in June. We rented a moon walk and both a popcorn and snowcone machine. unfortunelty it rained all day so we had canceled the moonwalk. we didnt have games but then agian it rained so we basically ate and openned presents. There are a few JoJo games on ebay... there was a golith bean bag toss where someone painted him on plywood and cut out his mouth. Another thing I was going to do was musical spots ( paper plates instead of chairs. You could also do gumdrop trees ( like jojo has at her house for centerpieces) by taking a terracotta pot and a styrofoam ball and a dowel. put the dowel in the ball and ancor it to in the pot with more styrofoam. use toothpicks to put the gumdrop on the ball. My hubby's aunt made the cake by using the figurines and cut up letters and gumball ballons. Ill try to post a pic...

Thanks, these are all great ideas and I am planning to incorporate most of them.

I'm bumping this up for you because if I recall correctly MosMom had a JoJo party for her son a couple of years ago and she had some great ideas! Hopefully she will see this thread.

I had a jo-jo party for my dd3 this june. I got all the party stuff at birthdayexpress.com like op mention. The two things I got that I really liked they had a banner with jo-jo and golith on each side and in the middle it said Happy Birthday Jordyn. Also I got window clings that you can also put on your walls after. So dd has them on the side of her bed.

i was surprised at how many carnival games our local rental store carries-and they were inexpensive to rent. it's possible to rent the whole shebang from most rental places. as for the toys-maybe hit the dollar store and get the stuff thats bagged for bday party goodie bags, hit a party store and get garish hats/leis...another suggestion is to consider renting one of those rotating hot dog cookers-can make for very easy prep/serving of food to the guests.
