Joint DVC members booking?

We're friends with another DVC family. We're looking at a vacation together next January, either at the Treehouse Villas or AKL (2 br). How can two DVC families book a vacation together? Does each family pay half the required points? Or does one family transfer points to the other, the that family makes the reservation?

THe simplest way is to each book part of the trip and have the ressies linked. Of course, that assumes you both have the same home resort advantages.

Have you decided already who gets the king sized bed and larger bathroom? That might make a difference in whose points get used and how.

If we book at the THV, we'd probably offer the other family the mbr/bath, and we'd take the other queen bed and have our two boys stay in the bunkbeds. The other family's daughter would likely be on the sleeper sofa.

Our home resort is SSR so we can book soon. Our friends home resort is BCV.

Assuming you're good friends, you could pick up a THV week using your SSR 11 month booking window, and they can pick up a week at BCV using their booking advantage

Of course, if things don't work out well, you'd no longer be good friends and have further unfinished business to be upset about. A contract might be useful, and a cash transfer/deposit of say $11/point might be reasonable.
