Well, now that we have made the decision to join - our representative wont be back until Tuesday. The waiting is torture!
I was worried that this wouldnt be enough time to get everything taken care of before April 30th(when the incentive runs out) I called DVC today and they assured me a week is plenty of time.

While im waiting, can someone tell me what the next step will be? Do they just send us some documents to sign or do we send a deposit in first?

I bought over the phone 2 1/2 years ago. A friend is a member and she recommended her guide to me, I called him and it was done in a few minutes. I joked it was the easiest sale he ever made! He took my information, my credit card # for the deposit, and went over a few things. I don't think they will draw up the papers without a deposit first. He said my number would be in the system later that day and I could call for a reservation if I liked. The papers were fed-ex'd, I signed them and returned them. Very easy!

Welcome Home! :)

Call, sign, WELCOME HOME That's about it.

When buying over the phone:

1. You will commit to what you are buying in the conversation and lock in any price and incentive at that time. You will need to send a deposit by check or you can give one over the phone via credit card.

2. Once they have the deposit, they will send you all the documents. There will be numerous things to sign and date. They will actually have little pictures of Mickey (for a signature) and a palm tree ( for a date) where you need to sign and date. Important that date used on all documents is the same and is the date you get any necessary documents notarized, which you will need to do if financing. The documents you receive will be fairly voluminous and contain all the legaleze that applies. You should read through it although the exercise is like trying to stir concrete with your eyes.

3. You return the signed and notarized documents in an express mail envelope which comes with the package (and already has the return address slip and the shipping is charged to Disney).

4. Once they receive the documents, you go through approval for any loan (usually only takes a couple of days). They should call you to tell you that you are approved, although they will also send a letter which will give you your estimated closing date.

That is it, Later you will receive your deed and other closing documents after closing is done but you need not wait to closing to make ressies.
