Erica and I always wear our iPods when we race or train. In the Oct race we will probably be to busy chatting to worry about the music.

Training and eating going much better now. I'm still hungry all the time but I'm determined to not have to wear that pair of size larger jeans.

I'm eating 4 times a day:

Breakfast: Cereal with banana and skim milk, coffee, water, vitamin

Lunch: steamed veggies, tuna

Dinner: salad and plain baked potato

Later Dinner: steamed veggies.

Lots of water and tea

I've lost 3 pounds this last week with this plan and averaged 28 miles a week of walk training.

Walk/run strong, eat healthy and keep smiling y'all.

Thats awesome Dave. I could not eat so little...Maybe I need to be more determind. I did alot of exercise in the last couple of days, hopefully by the end of the week weigh in I will be good. :) good luck everyone!

Wow Dave. That's a great loss!

I'm doing much better w/ my eating. Did lose one pound this past week so I'm feeling:banana:

Went to our local park office today to get a map of their trails because I'm wanting to run some since it is getting nicer out. I hope to save my knees from constant running on asphalt.

Keep up the good work!

I was packing and (do any of you ever do this try several things to see what fits before you pack it) I was tickled to discover that I've lost enough to get in my regular jeans again. The new pair of size larger get to stay home. Yes Yes Yes :yay: :yay:

Then I packed a pair of shorts that fit and a few T-Shirts. Of course the race shirt will be florecent yellow/green and say WISH on it. Got the WISH bracelet out also.

We are off early in the morning so might not be back on till tuesday, I'm taking the laptop but not sure if I'll have a chance to use it.

Walk/run strong, eat healthy and keep the smile in place.

Good luck Dave! Have fun and say hi to the mouse for me. And yes I try everything on and check with my boyfriend for opinons. He usually says yes to everything. :) because he is well trained.

Have fun. see you when you get back

We are getting ready to head home from the Piggy weekend. It was to, we ate way more and way bad. From burgers and dogs to rasberry chip icecream we were bad, oh my yes.

Time to get back to reality now and start the training and eating properly again. I think it's good to take a pig out break a few times a year just to keep from burning out. Anyway that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Hope everyone had a great weekend, we sure did.

Dave:hippie:

Dave- Congrats on the Flying Pig! It sounds like the WISH group had a great time!

I went to the in-laws this weekend and I need to come up w/ some survival plans for future visits there. I feel I have no control over what/when to eat. Despite trying to eat smaller portions I know the food is higher in fat than I would normally eat.

Next time I'm going to take some snack/drink options and that I've preselected so I'm not totally dependent on what is offered. That used to seem rude now it just seems like a survival technique.

I am having(still) a bad eat and drink week. I agree if you work hard and loss (17 pounds) in 3 1/2 months, a bad week is ok. We (DW) and I had a great race weekend. Walked 5K in 41:46(13:29 pace) on Sat and 15K in 2:07:35(13:38 pace). The weight loss really help in getting my speed back. That helped burn some of those chicken wings we have been eating at ESPN and All Star Sports. Have to have a taste comparison test.:lmao: Today to be bad for my B-Day at Biergarten lunch:cool1:

Visit my site as I took way to many pics of the 2 races and my WISH friends:banana:

See you all at ToT in October! Keep up the good work.

Wow Robert you and your lady had some good times there. You are way better than your previous times, that Goofy next year will be a breeze for y'all.:cheer2:

Disnutt, I feel your pain darlin. We had the best party weekend but the food was not healthy fare, beer, grilled burgers, smoked sasuages at the Ball Game.:)

Ok guys when the parties are over it's back to the twigs and bark for me. I will get up tomorrow ready to eat healthy again and dream about that huge chocolate covered waffle cone filled with rasberry chip icecream I had last night before bed.
