Johnny Depp fans - anyone seen The Libertine yet?

DH and I don't go to movies very often, but he was asking if I'd like to go (especially since our DS works at AMC now and we may be able to get passes)

He was looking at what's currently playing, and suggested The Libertine. What, my DH wanting to take me to a Johnny Depp movie??

It looks interesting, especially with JD playing such a bad boy. Anyone seen it yet?

I'll let you know if we go and what I think.

I have seen the commercials! OMG does he look good! I don't think I will be able to get DH to take me to that movie! I may just have to go see it alone....that's no fun!!

Not surprising.....but, we viewers can still enjoy the 'trash value' of it!

And rightly so!! It was AWFUL! The movie just didn't work. There were parts of it that were good, and JD was wonderful in the role, but it was too disconnected, and there were big gaps in the story, just overall Not good.

I liked the way it was filmed and what the director was attempting, but has to be a thumbs down from me.

DH and I enjoyed a night out, and at least we didn't have to pay for it!!!
