Saw John Walsh on GMA minutes ago regarding recent Florida case of CHILD MURDER, Somer (don't recall/know last name)

He stated that it is HIS belief (likely that of local Police since he is in direct contact with them and mentioned him by name) that it
MAY be a SERIAL CHILD KILLER!
Apparently there are 4 or so cases of missing/murdered children with same type of scenario, going/coming home from school/bus stop, etc. in last 20 years, unsolved in that area. Said maybe someone that came out of retirement...and continuing on.........
He said that families should be on

HIGH ALERT

and that he thinks they are dealing with a very smart person that planned a thought out abduction/murder of this child. :sad2:
He said that the Fla Area Police, he named the Sheriff who was also apparently former D.A as an AMAZING man of determination and that he believes that they WILL get the person. Said he thinks murderer thought they'd never get caught because of way he rid the body......

IT IS HORRIFYING!!!

When Mr Walsh says the area should be on HIGH ALERT, that is even more beyond SCARY!
He mentioned that it may be a "transient" type predator, someone that came into the area without registering...said that they are aggressively seeking all avenues.

To all those in this area of FLORIDA (I think its is Jacksonville) and I guess across the country as well, LOOK, WATCH and be ALERT, our precious children need us to keep them safe! :grouphug:

RIP in little SOMER! You and Your Family are in our thoughts and prayers! :sad1: :sad1::sad1:

People need to watch their children at all times. My child is 7 and the day I would allow her to walk to a friend's house alone would be because I died in the house. I'm not kidding. When she rides her bike in the front I sit and watch her. Three houses each way. When she walks to the bus, I take her. If I have to work than someone over the age of twenty is with her until she gets on the bus. My daughter is my responsibility! We as parents have to make our children the most important thing in our lives. We chose to have them We need to make sure they are safe. Every time I hear a child missing it makes me crazy. I don't blame the parent but you can't have them out alone. It only takes one time and they could be gone forever. The ages of 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 is too young to be out walking alone. I hope people will wake up and protect their children.
