I googled 'Rock of Ages' the movie, and I'm pretty sure it is a comedy-he's playing an 80's character. I think it's tounge-in-cheek. Actually, the movie sounds hilarious, if you came up in the 80's on hair metal like I did
Rock of Ages is a HYSTERICAL Broadway play spoofing the 80's (the era in which I was a teenager). We loved it on stage in NYC! How it will transfer over in a movie....Im not too sure, and I was not happy when I heard that Tom Cruise would be playing the role of Stacy Jaxx.....but we shall see. alec Baldwin, however, looks hysterical in it!
