John Travolta is filming a new movie in our little town.

Our city of Winder, GA, is a really small city and very close knit. Everyone knows everyone. Last year they filmed a Stephen King film called The Outsider here and now they are filming a movie starring John Travolta. It's exciting to have big names come to our small town. I was a little sad I wasn't able to meet him. My shop is only about 1 mile from where this picture was taken and the staging area is in the parking lot of my wife's shop. Bad timing on both our parts. I plan on getting over to where they are shooting this weekend. Pic is from a friend of a friend lol.

He filmed a movie here when I was in high school that my dad worked on. Watched the dailies one day and realized when I left he had been in the trailer the entire time.

I heard they will be filming a few more scenes here in Winder but are setting up in Loganville for this weekend. Again, this is what "I heard". So you must be from around this area?

We have Hillary Swank here, with others, filming a movie. I’ve yet to see a famous person just walking around, but that’s probably because I don’t go to the places where they hang out lol

My friend worked for New York City Subways back when Travolta filmed the Taking of Pelham 1,2,3. He was some sort of safety supervisor at the time. He spoke with Mr. Travolta a couple of times, and always remarked how down to earth he was.

My friend is one of the silhouette track workers at the beginning of the film. No credits, no pay, but still pretty kool...

They are always so tiny.

I could fit Kiefer Sutherland in my pocket. And seeing George Clooney was Huh?

One summer my uncle said "they are going to film some movie in our house.." My cousin added "some Lindsay Lohan film."

It was Mean Girls.

My son did Tae Kwon Do for many years at the Holly Hill mall. It was a sad day when Master You closed up shop.

The 2019 version of Ghostbusters filmed for two weeks, in a school right across the street from our home. It was fascinating to watch how the entire production rolled in at 7:00 am; basically closed down the entire neighbourhood, then completely vanished at 10:00 pm every night. It was a closed set and I'm not even sure who was there or not there - limos drove up and people got out and were whisked right into the buildings. It never occurred to me to try and make contact with any of them.

Griffin, GA here - many many films and TWD. Poms with Diane Keaton was filmed in our 55+ Dell Web Community here. Seems like a new movie/TV show every other week filming in the area.
