John & Mona's Memories VR - Disney Photography link - pg. 3

Glad to see you had your big day! Great pics so far. Can't wait to see more and hear how you day was.

I booked Janet to do my hair and makeup for next November. She seems great on the phone and I am very happy with my choice so far. I am doing a trial run in June so I will actually get to meet her. :) Good to see a great review!

So excited to ready your trip report! Love all the little surprises your DH arranged for the morning of your VR.

Yay my sweet MonaRabbit, more photos to drool over!!! You sound like you have a very thoughtful and sweet DH there!!!
Very anxious to see more!!!

Congratulations on 30 years, three grown up kids and STILL looking young!!

I'm loving your VR trip report so far, and I think you're husband is so thoughtful arranging the little suprises for you - I'll have to get my hubby to read so he gets the hint :lmao:

Can't wait to see some more pictures and hear more about your day :)

Best wishes

I must say that I've had 30 years to "train" him - :lmao: And as for the looking young - thanks so much - we try to make laugh lines instead of worry lines - I think that helps a bunch (and makeup and hair color of course)..

:surfweb: Okay sorry for the messed up double posting up above - don't know what's going on - user error I'm sure......:)

Back to the pics and stuff.... Around the time for me to come to the lobby to be picked up by the limo - another knock at the door - and it was Robert - the lovely gentleman who "greets" guests at the GF lobby and also has assisted many brides with their trains....(he also helped our daughter) - DH had asked him to come and help me with my dress and flowers - so sweet....

I had a few surprises of my own for the VR - we wrote our personal statements and for the most part it was all tear-jerker stuff (you'll see me crying in some pics) - but I also wanted to tie in disney and so here's what I came up with - to loosely quote what I said.....

You are the Pan to my Tinker Bell - so I give you pixie dust - shake it up and think happy thoughts when you feel like a lost boy...
DSC00521.jpg

You are the Tramp to my Lady - here's a collar so you always know where you belong...
DSC00522.jpg

You are the Mickey to my Minnie - you hold the key to my heart now and forever....
DSC00519.jpg

You are the Carl to my Ellie - I give you the Ellie badge for service above and beyond and to let you know that adventure is still out there together...
DSC00520.jpg

Along with these "trinkets" - we found a bracelet in Key West that was made from a hollow tube - we filled it with sand from Key West, sand from Miami Beach and after the ceremony - sand from Luau Beach.....so we had a very special sand ceremony.....
DSC00524.jpg

All of these things sound pretty corny - but I couldn't beleive how well it all meshed together and made the simple ceremony for the two of us so special and personal....

I had all these things hidden in the pockets of my dress (along with a hankie) and the look on his face (and Rev Kev's) is great....

Next up I'll post the link to the Disney Photography site for the ceremony pics and the photo shoot the next day DHS....

Thanks ladies for reading along - have a great evening!:wizard:

Oh, I love all the little treasures and the meaning you attached to them! :goodvibes

I'm so anxious to see your other pictures, too!

Wow, Mona!

I love all the little personal items. Very, very neat. What a great touch to the ceremony. Can't wait to see the pics!

Sweet Monarabbit - Lovely lovely lovely!!!! You put so much thought and love into those little trinkets!!! What lovely souvenirs your hubby has of your special day!!! Looking forward to seeing the photos!!

Aww you both sound like such a sweet, loving couple :lovestruc to have thought of all these surprises for each other.

Can you send me some hints on training my Hubby to be like that lol I've had him in training for over 23 years and he's still not there yet :lmao: To give him credit he does have some lovely romantic ideas  I just wish I didn't have to drop so many hints beforehand :rotfl2:

Love the sand bracelet! What a wonderful idea and keepsake from your special day! Can't wait to see your pics.

Just found your TR. Congrats on 30 years! Awesome - you both definitely don't look old enough to be married 30 years that is for sure.

I love the personal touches you did. Wish I had thought of it when we did our VR last April! :rotfl:

Can't wait to see more pictures!

Just found your TR! Congrats!!

I love the pixiedust! So sweet! Can't wait to read more!

I was afraid it was going to be too silly and debated on whether to actually go through with it - but I figured it's only going to happen like this once and I might as well go for it!

Wow, Mona!

Thanks - it's hard to come up with "masculine" things to give your hubby besides the usual ring, etc. He's put them in a shadow box along with other momentos from the day - I was afraid he just stick them in the underwear drawer :rotfl:

Thank you for following - I enjoyed surprising him with those....it's not often we get to be so sentimental without making the menfolk "gag"

Hey - hint dropping is a good thing - that way you get what you really want - You known men - if they thought it was all their idea - they'll come through every time!!!!

Love the sand bracelet! What a wonderful idea and keepsake from your special day! Can't wait to see your pics.

The sand bracelet was a great accidental find - just wish I'd thought of it so I could market them - so sweet...

Thank you - we both lucked out on the genetics I think - the wrinkles and gray are definitely creeping in:scared1: I think you need to have another VR so you can plan another wonderful celebration - DH and I think we might let it be a every 5 year tradition...

Just found your TR! Congrats!!

I love the pixiedust! So sweet! Can't wait to read more!

Thank you for dropping by - I liked the pixie dust too - but in the ceremony pics it almost looks like I'm handing him a vial of "drugs" :hippie:

Such sweet ideas, can't wait to hear and see more.

Thanks - it was a lot of fun to put together .....:woohoo:

Here's THE LINK - :cheer2:

One review I forgot to add was about photography - we used only Disney and I will say they were FANTASTIC -

Dean - took our ceremony pics and he was so much fun to work with - he even conspired with John to get the timing right for some pics in the GF lobby. John had the orchestra and the piano player surprise me with an announcement and our "private" dance - those pics are too funny....

Stephanie and her assistant (Penny) took our Hollywood Studios shots - she spent extra time getting some great shots - and it was a priceless experience being inside the ToT lobby behind the ropes....

CAUTION - View at your own risk - some of the pictures are disturbing:rotfl2:
1. Lot's of smooching .
2. Lot's of sweating at the Luau Beach ceremony :headache:.
3. Some facial expressions that defy explanation :3dglasses

ENJOY :grouphug:

Mona, thanks so much for sharing your photos! I love the ceremony ones ... how wonderful that you guys actually had some shade on the beach! No squinty pictures!! :thumbsup2

And the photos from the Studios shoot -- what a gorgeous location! You two are a beautiful couple, and look so happy and in love in all of them. :goodvibes

Your pictures are stunning!!!!! I :lovestruc them! I am so jealous of your DHS pictures (ToT is my fave) - makes me want to do it all over again (is a VR two years in a row crazy:lmao:)!:goodvibes The ones with you on the steps in Streets of NY and your DH standing by the railing are really cute!

Sweet Monarabbit - Apologies for taking my time in commenting on your pictures!! For some reason, I could not seem to get to see them on my computer at home - it wouldn't let me enter my details on the DPS site :badpc:. Eventually, I managed to view them on the work's computer, which was a bit naughty, but I was desperate to see them!!!
Anyway, they were really worth the wait!! They are gorgeous!! You and your DF are an adorable couple and look so happy!!! You must be thrilled with them!!

I just read ur PJ & I LOVE UR PHOTOS!!!! :lovestruc It made me tear up... the mini veil went perfect with ur hair style that day... The trinkets u gave him during the ceremony were so creative, I just think i might have 2 use them :rolleyes1 Everything just flow 2gether nicely :thumbsup2 Lord willing I pray that me & my hubby would look just as happy @ our 30th VR as u guys did (AND actually still like each other :rotfl: ) Everything came out awesome :cheer2:

pixie921 - thanks for looking in - the ceremony pics turned out pretty well considering the 100+ temps - thankful for the little bit of shade that was there - but question - how is it that Rev Kev didn't sweat a drop:cool2:

LittleStinkerbelle - I think you should definitely plan for the DHS shoot - and I think you can schedule a bridal portrait shoot up to 1 year after the event - so I say that's a great reason to plan another celebratory trip with a DHS photo session -:rotfl:

Your pictures are fantastic!!!! My favorite is you sitting on the stairs and DH leaning on the railing.

DisneyBrittany - Thanks for looking in - I agree with you and LittleStinkerBelle - the ones on the steps are among my favorites - the only problem is some members of my family think I looked a little like someone waiting on the street for my "date" :lmao: I think I'll order an 8 x 10 and hang it somewhere they'll all have to look at it:woohoo:

Joanne - I was beginnig to worry about you :) Thank you so much for the kind comments - I can't remember when I've (or we) been called adorable....hope you did not get into trouble at work -:surfweb:

Stunning photos! I just love weddings (and vow renewals)! :lovestruc

Thanks for sharing!

Tinker Bell Fan - Thank you so much - and I know what you mean about weedings and VRs - it's a shame these occasions can't happen more often...

virturous girl - awwwh - glad you liked them. Feel free to use the idea of the trinkets - as creative as you are I'm sure you could find some really meaningful items to incorporate in your VR.....and I say that if you guys have made it this far with all the trials you've been through - 30 years should be a piece of cake:flower3:
