yes, I've seen the show. I understand your point about how some things he says don't hit home right away. But couldn't that be because a person wants to believe so in their mind they look and look to find something to apply what JE said to? That is a classic con....
I just can't get out of my mind the questions JE asks... like "Is there someone here with departed loved one with a name that begings with C, CL, D K or L?" Talk about fishing! The shows I saw were filled with stuff like that.
If the guy is for real then I too would wonder why he has to guess so much. Also, as Disnsyncey said, if he is for real, where does he get his power (or information) from?
I'm not a secular humanist, and I don't dismiss all things supernatural. I believe we do live in a spiritual world and that we are, in essence, spiritual beings who live in these temporary physical "tents."
Dreams I've had where I've conversed with my departed father, that seemed different from the "normal" type of dream, I found particularly troubling, yet at the same time very comforting. Did I talk with my dad or was it just a dream? I have no idea but I don't pursue it.
