John and Jessica's Wedding - - June 2010 SBP

those are so cute! How many did you do? Did it take very long?

I am having a very small wedding, we are having 13 people including DF and I, so only 11 guests. I only made 6 packs of tissues ( my parents each get one, DF has two sets of parents due to divorce, so i had to make 4 for his parents). I was going to make one for everyone, but my sister will be standing up next to me, his sister will be standing up next to him and the other 2 are just dates who won't be needing them.

It was more the trial and error that took the time..once I got the technique down it didn't take too long. It probably took me 2 hours to make them..but a couple additional hours to figure out how I wanted them to look.

I also ordered the flip flops that we'll all change into after ceremony. I don't want anyone to have sore feet, because that is just the worst in Disney.

I love the tissues! What a great idea. When are you giving those out to your guests, as they enter the venue? Or will they be sitting on their seats?

The flops are great too. Yay for updates! :woohoo:

I love the tears of joy packets, I can't decide if I want to do them or not. Sometimes I think it's a lot of effort and we have too many to make...but they are just so cute! I think it'll be a if we have time project.

The flip flops are really cute too!

I worked out the details with Mikkel to do my groom's cake. I was originally going to go with Tasty Too, but I just loved the personalization that Mikkel is going to be able to provide. The top figurines are going to be handmade to resemble DF and I (I sent her a picture that she will use), she will include two of our favorite ski trails on the cake and she is delivering it to Whispering Canyon Cafe for our rehearsal dinner! She is also GREAT with communication, and I would HIGHLY recommend her if you are planning on having a grooms cake. Below is a picture of a sketch she drew up for me.

Hey Wendy! Rosie from floral said that they will put them out on the chairs of the parents for us. Rosie said because we are getting the toss petals in the bags that they will place the programs, toss petals and those tissue packs on the chairs for us :thumbsup2

that is an AWESOME groom's cake!!! What a great idea. I'm not sure if we're doing one but I now know who to go through if we do!!

Okay I see about the packets on chairs now. Thanks! We are doing the basket of flowers instead of the individual packets, so I guess we'll have to figure something different out for the programs and tissue packs (I'm going to make these now :rotfl:). I might have a small basket at the front with everything in it for guests to grab as they arrive!

Love your ideas! :yay:

We paid our honeymoon off in full today! We are now all payed off for everything! WOOT:thumbsup2 In 2 1/2 months we'll be sitting by the beach at Sandals Whitehouse

congrats on paying of your honeymoon! That's so exciting that you're going on a tropical honeymoon in addition to being at Disney, I'm totally jealous! :cutie:

The hair style is so different from anything I've seen before! I think it's gorgeous and perfect for a wedding. You're still not wearing a veil, right? Are you doing any hair pieces?

No, I saw the template some where else online. The directions I had were really confusing..so I ended up sort of making it up as I went.

Love the tissues and the sketch for the cake. I'm looking forward to working with Mikkel!

That hair style is awesome! I am wearing mine kind of similar, except it is an updo. I really like the look of it down though, if only my hair held a curl!

I ordered my guest book tonight from Mixbook...I made a very unconventional guestbook.. I got a few ideas from someone else on the boards (so whoever you were, thank you!)

Love Love  Love Love! the guest book and that hairstyle... both are definitely things I have not seen before and they are awesome. I may definitely be stealing at least the guest book idea if you don't mind, it is just too cute to pass up!

Well I got the "What Disney Character am I similar to" idea from someone on the boards, so steal away! Make sure you google mixbook coupon codes (I saved 20%). I only paid $29.

I think I might steal your idea, I want a non traditional guest book. I think it is fun to put comments not just your name. I can see a lot of my guests not filling it all out. :(
We are getting married on a yacht and I might do a life ring with Disney stickers and our names on it. It will look good in our guest bathroom.
