We have settled the stroller problem with the airline, now to just choose which stroller to bring. We kind of want to bring the jogging stroller, but is it going to be too big to drag on the busses? I know we will fold it up, but will we ever be denied access to a bus because of a bigger stroller?

The only way that you would be denied access to a bus is if it is too full to fit your family plus your stroller. It is the same as when the bus is too full to fit your family - just wait for the next bus!

If someone in your party doesn''t mind folding, carrying and manning the stroller on the bus, I would bring it. It seems like this person would end up standing with the stroller in the aisle or sitting towards the back where the seats that face inward are located.

Some people don't mind folding and lugging a huge stroller into the trunk of a car. It drove me crazy, though. It just depends on what you don't mind (or do mind) dealing with.

Have a great trip!

I would go with Graco stroller. My wife and I are taking our one year old daughter in December of this year, and are going with the one that can fold up. I have been on the bus system when it was so crowded I couldn't even sit down so I can't imagine having my jogging stroller that doesn't fold up on the bus with me. I just feel that the Graco will be more convenient for your trip due to it folding and becoming compact enough to tote on the monorail, bus, and ferries around the park!

With young childern strollers are a must......... I will be halling a double down to Disney in 2010. It's so much nicer to have your child have thier own stroller, you don't have to worry about what they do to it. We never had a problem on the busses with the single, and we have a graco. I saw a family with a combi double that folds into the same size as my graco, it was awesome, and yes that's what I'm getting.

You will never be denied access to a bus because of your stroller size. I have seen some monsters! As long as you are courteous and fold it up tightly and stand with it off to the back and hold it securely out of the way- no one will even notice it's there. Sometimes I see people with big strollers who seem to think they can sit in the middle seats and hold it in front of them- people have trouble getting around them and the stroller bumps into people's legs when the bus is moving.
All that said.. We bring a large B.O.B. Revolution Duallie jogging stroller when we visit. We take it on the busses and all through the parks. We have never had a problem with anyone complaining. We make sure it's folded up before the bus arrives so no one has to wait for us. I take the kids and our stuff- my DH holds the stroller on the bus so it is out of the way.
I would not go without a double stroller- it's so convenient for us!

Does your jogger have a pivoting front wheel? If it does not then do not bring the jogger to WDW. Too many people stop short in front of you or turn to cross in front of you without warning. You need to be able to steer easily and joggers can be very difficult to turn on the drop of a dime.

You're only on the bus for 10-15 minutes a few times a day. You're pushing the stroller for several hours. Go with whichever is more comfortable for you and your child while the stroller is in use.

We bring our double jogger and it rolls right onto the monorail or ferry with no problem. We've never had a need to take it on a bus but I wouldn't hesitate to bring it as the few minutes of cramped inconvenience are far outweighed by the fact that it pushes like a dream with 100lbs of kid and stuff in it. :thumbsup2

The only thing that makes me nervous about the jogging strollers is popping a tire on the plane. We haven't been brave enough to bring ours on a plane and have gone with our Graco instead. DH would love to bring the jogging one though. It steers so much nicer!

This is an excellent point.

We took our full size Graco & folded it on the buses. It was big but it was a godsend.

My DS decided he wants to take the Graco, but very well could change his mind when we are packing the car.

Just check to make sure your stroller isn't too big:

Are there any personal items I should not bring with me into the theme parks?

Items that you may not bring into the theme parks include but are not limited to:

•Items with wheels, such as:
•Wagons
•Skateboards
•Scooters

•Shoes with built-in wheels

•Strollers larger than 36" x 52" (92 x 132 cm)
•Suitcases, coolers or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 24" (61 cm) long x 15" (38 cm) wide x 18" (46 cm) high. (Coolers required for medication may be stored in a locker or at Guest Relations.)

Opened up, as it is what is allowed into the park.

If you search the board, you'll also find threads ranting against people who bring big strollers, so be sure to be very courteous. I am planning a trip for next spring and DD will be turning 1. I have a BOB Revolution and am deciding whether or not to take it. I am not thrilled with taking it on the planes or buses, but it's such a FANTASTIC stroller that I'd like to have it the rest of the day. I've spent so much on that stroller that I am having a hard time justifying spending more on a second stroller. And I know some will say to buy a super cheap "disposable" stroller, but I don't like that idea. Everyone will have a better trip if DD can nap well, so the non-reclining cheap umbrella strollers just won't work. Who would have thought this would be such a hard decision?!?!?!?

If you are talking about the Graco Duo Glider I would leave it. That this is so hard to move out of the way if you need to move quickly. It doesnt turn easily at all. I've seen a lot of them there, but my personal pref. is not to bring it. You could also look into stroller swaps.
