Joe the Plumber - how sad!

No, he plastered himself all over talk shows and media channels and became a glorified Paris Hilton.

Because he resonated with the taxpayer and attempted to take the entrepreneurial route. That's the American spirit. Take what you have and sell it. Do you have a problem with that? Sometimes you succeed, sometimes you fail. Its life. We don't need to bail him or anyone else out.

Joe resonated with many Americans as a symbol of the taxpayer. His time has come and gone. He was attacked by the democrats; by Obama.
The Americans who believe that Joe was a "symbol of the taxpayer" are the same ones believing that those who broke our country are the ones who can fix it. They were wrong about Joe. They were wrong about him representing the average American taxpayer. And they are wrong about how to fix this country by doing the very same things that broke it in the first place.

The story about JTP is the same story about how no one is listening to the Republicans anymore. While I understand your bitterness about how the average American taxpayer is finally waking up to what's been happening to them and are rejecting the Conservative agenda, I'm not willing to let my sympathy for your position affect the future of this country. There's just too much at stake now.

:worship: :worship:

If I NEVER hear him or Palin's names again, I will die happy. :surfweb:

Yes, and the "don't taze me bro" John Kerry student resonated with the youth.

Who gave him the time of day, beyond what he symbolized, (the American taxpayer) were the democrats, intent on digging up dirt, attacking him personally, delving into confidential records from his state, (workers were sanctioned for that). To most of us, it never mattered who he was personally. He was a man who had the AUDACITY to ask OBAMA a question. He didn't seek him out, he didn't corner him, he was approached by the 'annointed one' and he asked a question! He was a symbol of the "little guy" about to be swallowed up by the behemoth government.

No, he was a man who had the audacity to tell a lie on national news. Obama wasn't the one who brought him his claim to fame -- John McCain was the one who tried to use this man to help his flailing campaign. Joe-the-Not-Plumber was not investigated until over a week later when McCain dropped his name in a presidential debate. Of course he's going to be looked into at that point. He was a liar, plain and simple. When people tell stories on national news and are then brought into the media spotlight, they get fact-checked.

It won't be the taxpayer that ultimately rejects the conservative agenda, but perhaps the tax recipient. Those who don't pay, but expect the fruits of labor from those that work and do pay. You are right. There is too much at stake right now and the fact remains, when polled, most Americans believe that government is the problem, not the solution.

Don't you just hate it when somebody remembers how things really went down?

How could he even write a book about his experience? :confused3 A blog I can see, but a book? Honestly, how many pages are in that book?

I suspect by summer, I can pick up the book at Dollar Tree :thumbsup2

Why won't Joe the plumber just go away. No one cares about what he has to say. He continues to put himself out there. He was just at a conservative convention last week as a guest speaker. Why would they even want to be associated with him? :confused3 Surely there are better, more qualified conservatives to speak? Aren't there? Maybe not...

Hmmm, about the same number of pages as My Pet Goat (including pictures).

I'm sure at Dollar Tree, this book will be found next to the discounted coloring books.

At CPAC he said he was thinking about running for Congess.

A tax dodging welfare recipient who was working illegally?
:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Maybe it was a sticker/ coloring book.:thumbsup2

Well, there is his other profession, War Correspondent.:rolleyes1

At CPAC he said he was thinking about running for Congess.

Jack(I mean Joe) of all trades, master of none.

I grew up in the watergate era, so having a plumber associated with politics is a smidge creepy.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Joe probably would be better served by doing professionally what it takes to get the certification he needs to advance in his original chosen career and possibly get a contractors liecense so he can work towards his goal of owning his own business.

This book thing and reporter thing don't seem to be working for him.
