Joe Rohde visits Evermore - shades of Disney's future park experience?

He posted about the visit yesterday to his instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/BtaVEbjnKiZ/) and had some really positive things to say.

What's Evermore? An immersive "theme park" here in Utah that may very well be a model for the Star Wars hotel experience, or something else yet to come. Here's an extensive article about it from the LA Times from a few months ago.

The creative director is a former Disney Imagineer. Guess I better visit soon!

I am curious about how he kept emphasizing the importance of “people”. I wonder if maybe WDW is considering more robot/AI interactions and he’s trying to convince them otherwise? I will say that all of this sounds like these types of places are eerily moving more and more towards a WestWorld type of experience.

I liked that they compared it more to the Adventurer's Club than an elaborate Ren Faire. I've basically made the assumption that it's the latter and that's why I haven't gone, but it sounds like a lot more. With their location tracking technology in the magic bands, I can imagine Disney could do SO much with this approach!
