Joe (me), 48
Helen (my wife), 60
BWI 10/25/04-10/29/04
Well, some of you may remember Hel and me from my reports a few years ago. Unfortunately, I never finished my last trip report and I've always felt rather badly about it. Even more unfortunately, Hel and I haven't been back to WDW since that last trip in May of 2001.
Work, health issues, family and a desire to travel to some other locations all prevented us from making the journey down to the World during the past 3 1/2 years. Not to mention that we jumped right into married life with a basically non-existent adjustment period.
Things are great now, though, and we are ready to return to the very first place we ever vacationed together.
This trip came about at sort of the last minute when we both realized our schedules were clear this week. So, we figured this is as good a time as any.
This is our first time staying at BWI and we're looking forward to it! We're going to try to just chill out and hit our favorite attractions. We made no PS, so we can fly by the seat of our pants and let the spirit move, so to speak. Since Food & Wine is going on, that will probably be a good choice.
Mostly, spending some quality time alone with my wife is a big priority. Circumstances have led to my working out of town for long stretches of time the past 8 months. We've missed one another a great deal and I think WDW is the perfect place for us to reconnect.
Who knows, the spirit may even move us right on over to DVC. Buying would be a good excuse to do this more often.
I don't know if I'll post as I go along or when we return, but stay tuned.
