Jodi Arias Trial Part 6, starting with JM Rebuttal April 16

Good morning all! I cleared up my schedule for the rest of the week and have all my appointments in the morning so I can watch all afternoon! (Eastern time zone here)

I am thinking there will be a jury decision on Wednesday, May 8 about 2:00. (I hope because we leave for WDW on the 9th!)

Oh thank you, MJ, I'm hoping the cupholder makes mowing a little more enjoyable. ;)

Yeah, I think you might be right. :headache:

========================================

Good morning, everyone! :goodvibes

I have more good news, Benito may come out this week, the drip drip drip in the shower is driving me bonkers. :p

Saw your new mower! I have a zero turn commercial cub cadet that I looooove! Seriously can't get enough mowing in. The cup holder is great except its really difficult to drive and drink simultaneously. I've tried texting and driving and ended up running over the asparagus, a few baby trees, a flower bed....it's okay, I didn't want those things anyway!:lmao: you'll get used to driving it really quickly, reminds me of a wheelchair. Either way, have fun with the mower....and Benito! Ooh la la!

My hubby would be so jealous of that mower!!! (I would like just the cupholder....I love cupholders). Kids would laugh whenever we bought a new car I had to make sure I liked the cupholders in it before we decided.

Happy mowing!!!

MJ

Cup holders are highly important! I've been shopping for a new car and when I'm asked what I *must* have, cup holders come in about third and I get weird looks. I also need a middle console that is the right height for me to rest my arm on and manipulate the controls of whatever (which also need to be on my steering wheel!). ::sigh:: car shopping is hard.

I have been following this trial since ja took the stand. I read here and Web sleuths but I may be out. One of my daughters best friends pulled out a gun during first bell this morning and shot himself. He is alive, in very critical condition. I don't want to let her out of my sight and I don't want her having any of this images in get head. Such a great, smart, volunteer, scout, with tons of friends. So many are hurting right now. He was just here Friday, before prom, and I can't bring myself to look at the pictures.

This is just so heartbreaking. This young man must of have been in so much pain and felt he had no options. I hope he recovers and receives the help that he needs. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Keep your DD close and be there for her. She witnessed an awful tragedy, and she was close to this person. She, along with all the other students, are so deeply affected by this, and they will need good support systems and counseling to get through this. My thoughts and prayers are with your DD, and the students, and the families affected.

I've known two suicide victims, a friend in HS and one of my brothers. The friend was a sophomore and you would have thought he had a wonderful life. Great grades, a standout in sports, tons of friends, and a loving family. You never know the demons people may be dealing with in their lives.

My DB suffered for years and years with a mental illness. His life was filled with more downs than ups, and he had so many other health issues. We all thought he was doing better, he seemed in a good place, and he had been receiving help, both counseling and medications, for years. Even with all of that, the decision to take his life seemed like the only choice. You just never really know. Incredibly sad, so my heart really does break for all the kids and their families.

Good morning peoples! We're getting closer! (*gives me an instant stomach rumbling*)

This is from The State vs Jodi Arias (below), about the woman JM put on Death Row (Wendi Andriano). One of the things that struck me, and that I had wondered about, is that the jurors discussed the fact that if they gave her LIFE, it would be up to the judge to determine what "LIFE" meant...LWOP, or 25 years to life. I had thought when we started following the Jodi Arias case that LWOP would be the alternative to the Death Penalty, but when I put the verdict/sentences in the First Post last week, it was unnerving to see that THE JUDGE determines exactly what "life" means. (Goes along with the concerns that Brit posted above...can't go to a higher verdict later on.) So, what I had wondered about was...what exactly do the jurors know going into deliberations about how the sentence is applied? KWIM? Do they know the whole process beforehand?

"

Thanks for sharing, and very interesting. I was always under the impression that 1st degress was either LWOP or DP.

I read that article a few days ago and it's a perfect example of why I said the jury dynamics are going to be important in this case, just imagine if that one juror hadn't changed their mind.

Here's the instructions to the court including instructions to the jury: http://www.azbar.org/media/58847/4-capital_case_instructions_revised_2011.pdf

I agree with the importance of jury selection. The jurors make or break a case. I guess that's why jury consultants make the big bucks.

Thanks for posting the instructions.

Oh gaaawwd, Beth Karas says she thinks Nurmi may give the closing argument. :crazy2:

Oh dear lord, if Nurmi does the closing there is no way this is finishing up this week. The guy speaks so freaking slow.

I broke down and called, he'd been busy selling another tractor, worked out good for me, he made me an even better deal on the mower I want!!! :cool1:

Thank y'all so much for the good vibes, that stuff really works. :thumbsup2 ;)
Congrats on the tracter! LOL about it having a cup holder!

Sounds like none of us are in for Zimmerman ... how many for Sneiderman? :teeth: :duck:

I'll be watching the Zimmerman trial. I want to see justice for Trayvon. He was a young man gunned down for no other reason than an over zealous wanna be cop (zim) wanting to prove his street credibility. I've been involved in this case since the beginning, so I'm gonna see it through.

I've got plenty of 400 year old oak trees to sit under while I enjoy that beverage on my new mower. Thanks for the encouragement on learning to drive it, gawd, I hope you're right. :goodvibes

My must have after the vehicle itself is a 6 CD pack, yes, I'm stuck in the 20th century! :rotfl:

Oddly enough I bought a snap in state of the art AMFM/CD/mp3/??? whatever the hell all that stuff is unit for an old '86 Toyota MR2 that has no cupholder and I keep my change on the floor board. :lmao:

Good luck on buying that perfect car.

When the hell is Scorned Lovers week really gonna start? In Session has been announcing it's coming soon ever since this trial started back in Jan.

I hope today isn't very interesting, DH is scheduling appointments for new roof quotes today. Of course it will be while he's not home.

I have to share this. I went and worked out early. And on the way home some announcer on the radio was talking about the

Nooooo. :headache:

People began lining up about 2 a.m. Wednesday in the hopes of getting one of the few open seats available for the last day of testimony in the Jodi Arias murder trial.

I finally gave in and figured out how to follow vinnie politan on twitter and send notification to my phone. I dont do twitter, I dont understand twitter and have no clue what a hashtag is except # :confused3

I like my seat, it is comfortable, near a fridge, and if need be I can always take a nap. But the best thing of all, I have you all to talk to!!

You got that right!!! :thumbsup2

I had Vinnie Twitter mobile notifications during the Casey Anthony trial for about 10 days, the guy never shuts up. :headache:

If we don't get a verdict by next Monday night, I'll probably put a notification on for someone at Twitter, but it won't be him.

Thank y'all, I'm pretty excited, every time I mention another feature on my new mower Jen just smiles and says that's nice. ::yes:: :rotfl:
I'm with Jen! Except after 29 years of marriage, sometimes I forget the smile. :p

It's got a cup holder. :lmao:
Pretty! Congratulations! Cupholders are important! Need a place for those pretty wine coolers! :thumbsup2 That's the first thing I noticed when we bought DGD's first stroller, because "when I was young" and had my first child, strollers didn't have cupholders. ?????? I even bought cupholders for my mom's walker, for her cordless phone and other assorted necessities. ::yes::
Sounds like none of us are in for Zimmerman ... how many for Sneiderman? :teeth: :duck:
Hopefully, two months of recovery time after this trial will be enough.
I have exactly 7 minutes experience on those zero turns in the parking lot at the dealership and one of the three trucks I almost hit was mine. :lmao:
I'm composing an email to DH, asking two questions...does his tractor have a cupholder, and does HE know what "zero turn" means (cuz I don't). He'll enjoy my disrupting his day with that :lmao: but I'll be too Jodi-ized when he gets home from work to remember to ask him. You know...the fog and all.
Well I have spent the day finding Charlotte's going home outfit. I found the cutest set at Gymboree! It's perfect! The pelvic pain is still around but definitely not nearly as intense as it was a week ago.
Awww! :lovestruc My DD has her DD's going home outfit, hospital bracelet, etc, framed on her wall. :)
Georgia isn't a state that allows juror questions, right? :scared: :rotfl:
If so, no hiding out! ;)
I'm afraid its going to go longer than one day. The way the DT questions, they will go on and on. Then JM, then re-direct then juror questions, then more redirect........ :crazy2: you get what I am saying........

Now I think JM wants another witness. So the closing may not even be this week.
I mean unless the judge grows a pair and gives them a time limit on all of these witnesses.
According to HLN commentators, it is supposed to be really brief.

:rotfl:
Good morning, everyone! :goodvibes

I have more good news, Benito may come out this week, the drip drip drip in the shower is driving me bonkers. :p
:teeth: I went to the dentist the other day, and outside, there was a young REALLY good-looking guy working on the landscaping (dentist lives upstairs from his office). So I went in and said to the receptionist ":teeth: Nice looking guy out there!" And she said "Isn't he? That's the doctor's 19 yr old son."
When the hell is Scorned Lovers week really gonna start? In Session has been announcing it's coming soon ever since this trial started back in Jan.
Yeah, my excitement about Scorned Lovers week has sort of waned in the last FOUR MONTHS.

ABOUT THE TIRE SLASHING...they reported on HLN that Travis filed a report, which you all probably know by now. The police called him and left a message asking for more info, but Travis never called back. But one of the guest commentators (who, on which show, I don't recall) wondered if perhaps Jodi got into his voicemail and deleted it. I would not be surprised. SO MUCH is coming out now about just how crazy she is.

Wild About Trial @WildAboutTrial

AZ Republic Camera Man said people were waiting out front at 2am. Yeeeesh! #JodiArias

Morning everyone! Let's get this (freak) show on the road! :crazy2: Let's not be late today! Let's hope for no migranes, pukers, or other delays! Let's hope the witnesses speak fast, nooooo rambling. :headache: Let's hope the jury asks no questions because they realize how futile and ridiculous, and unnecessary this surrebuttal really is. :joker:

Remus, when are you gonna post a pic of Benito? :hyper: If he's as yummy as you say, we need to see it. ::yes::

Wild About Trial @WildAboutTrial

Juan just came out wearing a gray suit and light blue shirt with blue tie. He then walked back into the room beside me. #JodiArias

It's got a cup holder. :lmao:

When you said you were getting a new tractor, I was hoping for something with a front load bucket and back hoe to help me dig some trenches and move some gravel around. :rotfl:

Nice mower though. My lawn isn't big enough to warrant a mower that big. Heck I don't even have to mow ours. Our HOA handles that for us. Even if I did have to mow our lawn, 2-3 minutes with a gas powered push mower and I would be done.

Congratulations on your purchase.

Oh yeah, and good morning everyone. :goodvibes :wave2:

LOL.
I'm starting a psychology class next week and the intro reading already mentioned that damn thing.

Wish I could mow our yard that quickly. :p
