Interesting about the gun. That would be so awesome, I'm almost giddy.
There could possibly be fingerprints too. (After all this time? Who knows.)

Would be awesome if someone did find it and its true![]()
I don't know coz now on second thought or my 3rd cup of coffee, the Defense could still stick to it's story that the weapon belonged to Travis so it really would have to be tied back to Jodi's grandparents' .25 like lorimay said. I wonder if ol' Grandpa had serial numbers for his weapons.![]()
News Flash
The gun may have been found!!!!! Someone on the state vs Jodi page said a road crew person found a 25 caliber gun near the hoover damn last year, and just found out about the trial. They turned it over to the police today. He said it was wrapped in toilet paper and in a cactus......The person also indicated their husband was with the person when he found it. Maybe this hearing had something to with it?
Detective Flores reads them to her in one of the first Jodi Arias Unedited Police Interrogations if you want to see it, but I don't remember which one it's in.

Arrgghh...quoting isn't working again. Why is that??
Anyway, Kar, who is now long gone from this thread enjoying herself at Universal (*insert jealous smiley here, whatever it may look like*)...
Thanks for the compliment! I do have some good quoting skills at times. LOL I'll put on my CV.
With all these big tragedies, the one good thing that comes out of them is the overwhelming kindness of others. I think it's wonderful what your son did! I'm sure everyone was grateful to get out of Boston and have a friendly place to go.
I am aware of that Brown University student and that he was something of a suspect. I can't imagine having a child missing.
I have a feeling we're all going to be around for a while. Not just for the actual trial, but Jodi's going to stay in the news, one way or another.
Watching a DVR'd show from Friday with Mike (not Brooks) and they're discussing sentencing options. Here they are:
Not guilty...obviously she walks
JODI ARIAS SENTENCING SCENARIOS
If guilty of 1st degree murder
If guilty of 2nd degree murder
- we go into an aggravation phase (was the death caused in a cruel manner, did she know Travis would suffer)...the jury will deliberate a second time.
- jury decides life or death. If they find it was not cruel, they'd vote not guilty and the sentence would be life.
- if life, judge sets sentencing for 30 - 60 days; JUDGE will decide if she'll ever be eligible for parole...either LWOP or life and eligible for parole in about 25 years.
- if death (Jodi knew Travis would suffer), then we go into the sentencing phase...the DT would ask for leniency, the jury would deliberate a third time, then she will be sentenced immediately to death (sentenced immediately, not executed immediately). The jury COULD deadlock at this phase, there'd be a mistrial for that phase and there'd be a new jury for that phase only.
- the judge sentences her, to no less than 10 and no more than 22 years. JA would get credit for time served...4 1/2+ years. If the judge sentences on the lighter end, she could be out when she's 40.
About the verdict...DGD just left, so I went back to watching HLN, and this is what Jingasaurus said at the point where I left off:
"I think even manslaughter may go to the jury. It's never used here I understand but there is a heat of passion manslaughter. So I think one question is will the defense ask for that and will the judge give that."
My first post, on the first thread...my, how much we've learned since Jan 2.
Jodi Arias Murder Trial
Not as big as Casey Anthony, but interesting nonetheless. Just started a few minutes ago, in Arizona. She allegedly shot her boyfriend, stabbed him 27 times, and slit his throat. She's cute and sweet sounding, but a lot of his friends/family were not at all surprised that she could do something like that. And there are pictures allegedly taken, before and after the crime, and possibly pictures somehow got taken DURING?![]()
If the grandfather registered the gun legally, does the registration have the serial number on it? ... (I have no idea with anything to do with guns) ...![]()
Okay, now this might have some credibility:

I'm hearing a .25 caliber gun was found near Hoover Dam, where Jodi says she disposed of hers, and authorities are checking it out.

Don't know if you guys are watching Wild about trials tweets, but poor wild broke his ankle, hope he heals very quickly. He will still be tweeting.
Yes I did see that. Good for him for being strong! Jodi will be jealous.
Would she trade places with him?
Heat of Passion, very interesting since this is what they are filing for..
