I am not a very compassionate person I don't think. Jodi was able to save the children. Me, I would have turned him in and told everyone I knew with kids to keep them away. Gone to the Bishop...something. And the pamphlet thing is weird. I have never seen a pamphlet that tells the sexual molester where they can go for help, only for victims. I don't know. I must live in a bubble.

He did to me, but Jodi had all kinds of answers and reasons. So, I think he proved that the amount of time for the event to occur was minimal. She couldn't state what time she went to work or got off of work that day. There were text messages regarding trading cars but IIRC they were later in the day.

Basically, everything she was saying appeared to be false. But I iam biased to her guilt.

She's the one in a bubble life coz anal and oral sex is sex when you're well into your 20's, only teens believe that crap and usually they know better. And I don't believe Travis thought they were abiding with any law of chastity, he just got lucky when he found someone who liked what he liked.

How do they determine who the 12 jurors are and who the six are to send home?

Should be a blind draw. Here we used to literally put their numbers in a box and draw two to dismiss. Now the clerk has a computer program that prints out a report that shows which two numbers the computer has selected for dismissal. This same software generates pages of numbers out of the initial jury pool, determining which potential jurors are selected to come up to the voir dire for jury selection, and in what order.

Here we generally work with two alternates because cases are not of this length. I'd imagine this case has extra alternates to accommodate for the length and cost of the trial.

I can't even imagine what makes someone think a 12 year old sounding like she's having her first orgasm is hot. Course, in this case, poor Travis being driven by his healthy all American male hormones, it's probably not a reflection of his views, poor thing just couldn't help himself being manipulated by his stalker who none of his friends knew he was having repeated sex with for almost a year after they broke up.

What I was wondering is, if there was even a possibility there was a witness to the bruises, how come we haven't seen one single person. If it is noticeable enough for one person I would imagine that person would say something to another etc. That kind of stuff is like telephone. Especially when the person who they think is responsibile is a 'big deal' in PPL. Kwim. It just came across as false to me. But stranger things have happened.

It would be hearsay coming from someone who heard from someone who heard from someone else. And unless she gave a name of the particular person who said it (if she even knew who it was??), there's no one to testify. And there are so many people who know things, or have opinions of things, that aren't testifying. This could go on forever if they did.

The lady who took the video said that Jodi was calculated with everything she said and did and this was just one example, showing boredom. It was also mentioned that there was a lot of PDA, which I didn't notice. Holding hands and laying on somebody's lap isn't that PDAish unless earlier she had her mouth all over his crotch or something

If an associate did make a joke about her bruises, it was probably a bruise on her neck...otherwise known as a hickey. That would be the only reason that it wouldn't be obscene to make a comment.

I think that Travis allowing Jodi to lay on his lap in a group of people was PDAish, esp the way the defense seem to suggest he barely acknowledged her in public.

Good point about the hickey! I think this is one of those situations where Jodi, like Casey Anthony, took a fact and used it in her own way, to her advantage.

There were a couple of sick comments/jokes on Travis' MySpace about hiding little kids from Travis and another with reference to some chokehold from the back during sex so one might assume some of these PPL guys enjoyed this kinda joking with each other... I guess.

So these comments were made by PPL people, before he died, who were close to Travis and "knew something"?? Wow. Don't know anything about myspace, but I know tons of people who have 1000 dearest and closest FB friends. Just to be clear...I'm not going to assume anything about PPL people based on what you saw. You make a lot of assumptions.

Travis was not a pedophile. NO evidence. If you think that that ONE line in a sex tape being egged on by someone who secretly recorded the conversation and was into encouraging topping the last sex fantasy proves anything, then I hope you never serve on a jury.

I knew there was someone I wanted to thank further back in this thread (or was it the previous one?) for the information and insight you provided! Sometimes these threads get away from me with the frenzied posting.
