Jobs not for Disney

According to the New York Post, Steve Jobs (CEO of Apple and Pixar) appears to be preparing to form and create a new film company.

The article notes that a group of New York investment bankers are drawing up plans to mux Jobs with Miramax co-founders Bob and Harvey Weinstein to form a new film company which may act as competition for Disney.

But why would Jobs start another film company when he is already at the helm of Pixar?

Seems like it would be more reasonable to have a "Touchstone - like" division of Pixar than to start something from scratch.


IMHO, it would appear that would save a buttload of "startup" $$$.



FYI - "buttload": a noun meaning "a tremendous amount" in the South.

Example: "I sure caught a BUTTLOAD of catfish today"
