OK all castmembers. I have a question. How hard will it be for me to get a job at WDW when I retire from the Navy in 18mos. Also is there any advice you could share to help me get hired. Thanks

As a p/t hourly or seasonal, easy. Full time hourly or salary, it will depend on your skill set and their needs.

What would you want to be doing, and what is your relevant experience?

I met a retired dentist and he and his wife started in what ever job they got hired for, and after a while the dentist was able to transfer to being a Capt. on one of the many boats that ferry guests from some resorts to DTD.

Walk into central casting and prove that you are alive and you will be hired. Seriously, they are desperate for hourly workers. It is not easy to get hired on full time to start. You normally have to hire on as part time (and work full time hours) and wait until a full time position opens. There are only so many full time positions open in any area unless you have a special skill or are hired into a professional position (accounting, art, etc.). My sister worked for a year before she was able to get on full time.

Good luck!

Thats cool! I have experience in law enforcement,i was also a certified mechanic, and I also have been known to make flowers grow out of rocky soil so I figure i got a shot.

Now if you can get the flowers to grow out of the rocks... ;)

I went to casting here in Anahiem and they were having a job fair. It was luck actually b/c they had all the avaliable jobs out for you to view and see if you would be interested, so when you filled out the application, you had some jobs in mind. They even did interviews that day and hired you on the spot.
I had to go back for a second interview for my position but from what I hear, they need people.
