Hello ALL, I need some pixie dust pixiedust: and disney magic :stir: :genie: as I've got a job interview next Thursday and the day before I have to do an assessment. :worried: I am very nervous.

AAHHHHH :scared:

Good Luck - it's been a while but I know how nerve racking interviews can be.

I'm sure you'll do brilliantly!

Thanks Guys. Found out i've got to do an "In Tray" assessment. I've been told this means taking a list of tasks and prioritising these and then expaining why, anyone done one of these?

The place where I work does this as part of the assessment. Our list includes things like: 'Make a cup of coffee', 'Answer your ringing phone' etc. A lot of them are common sense, and apparently there are no right or wrong answers, they just want to see how you work!

I work in HR, just a few hints, when prioritising make sure you look at how the tasks inpact others in your team, customers etc... depending upon the industry that the role is in should decide who comes first. Another good one that shows you are orgnaised and a logical priortiser is - " every night before i go home i make a to do list for the following day, i have a prioroty scall of 1, 2 and 3 so that i know which tasks are the most important (i also use a different coloured pen so they are clearly defined). I assign there priority level depended upon the impact on others and the ease and speed that the task can be completed" this shows that you are considerate to your colleagues, good team player, orgnaiesed and a logical thinker. Might be worth a go!!! and good luck :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
