Joanne and Paul's VR - 4th May 2011

Joanne, :scared1: 1 month away!!! going crazy yet sooo excited! Just signed on to say Hello to you and send some love. No shoes for DD as of today but worst yet still no dress for me!

Just found your PJ tonight and read the entire thing!! I've been searching the PJs for dessert parties but your story caught my attention in the very beginning and I ended up reading all the way through. You and your husband are very lucky to have found each other.

I love your dress!!!!:yay:

We are having a dessert party for my son's graduation at UK Pubside and will be just next to James & Jeffrey's dessert party on 5-10-11. We'll be staying at YC and I noticed you are eating at Captain's Grill that day. We'll be eating in Epcot but if you hear some weird lady yelling hello if we happen to see you, just smile and wave and realize that you are somewhat of a bridal celebrity by now!!!:rotfl:

EEEK Mary :scared1: you really need to go dress shopping sweetie!!!! As Mother of the Bride you are a special person and need to look fabulous (although I am sure you always do). My guess is that being the sweet mother you are, you have concentrated on getting your DD sorted out and neglected to realize how important you are. Good luck with finding your special outfit!!

YCFAN - Hi!!! Your post really made my day!!! It's good to know that people are still willing to read my ramblings!!! Thank you for your kind comments about my dress!!! I love it.
I have been invited to attend James and Jeffery's dessert party so maybe I can give you a shout!!! Congratulations on your son's graduation!!! Is that from school or college? Here in the UK we don't have high school graduations - just graduations from university or college. My DD gratuated in June of 2009 form the University of Surrey and my DS will graduate from the University of Aberystwyth (Wales) in August. It is a proud moment!!! I hope you have a great celebration. If you are around on our big day or in any of the parks when we are there (I will probably post my schedule in my PJ this week), please give us a shout - I would love to meet you!!!!

My son is graduating from East Carolina University and I am taking four of his friends who are also graduating or will have graduated in the last year with us!! It's going to be a real celebration!:cool1: The university's mascot is a pirate so we're calling it the "celebrating being a pirate" week. What better place to do that than WDW, right?!:woohoo:

Hope we get to see you......we don't arrive until May 9 but we'll be around the week after your vow renewal.:goodvibes Oh, and I have never seen anyone so talented when it comes to ideas and adding those special touches as you do.:cheer2:

YCFAN - Okay so you did it again!!!! You made my day!!! I just returned from a particularly busy 12-hour night shift at work and here you are saying such lovely things about my humble abilities - bless you for that!!!
It would be so nice to meet you. Let's hope it's possible!!!

Dearest James - Thank you so much!!

Michelle sweetie - Yay!!! You are nearer than me!!! How are you holding out?
The combination of nervousness and excitement is a pretty heady mixture isn't it? Good luck with the final week's preparations!!!
We have a beautiful hotel booked at Manchester airport on Saturday 30th April and will have a lovely dinner there before trying to get some sleep, which will probably be impossible for me!! DH will sleep no matter what!! DH and I have the room to ourselves that night (the rest of the trip we will be sharing DVC villas/hotel rooms with other family members), so we are having champagne and chocolates together once we are alone!!
Our flight leaves at 11.00am and as it's a transatlantic flight we have to check in 3 hours before so need to be at check in at 8.00 am at the latest.
After a 10 hour flight we should arrive at MCO at about 4.00pm local time on the 1st May.
My intention is to have everything packed and ready to go by the end of Thursday (28th April) so that I can spend the Friday watching the royal wedding.

Hi Joanne! I'm at the "excited/nervous" stage since I'm in the midst of packing and wrapping up stuff at work. I took today (Thursday) off to pack and do some errands, plus hubby has a cardiologist appointment this morning. I've made lists and am praying that I won't forget anything (that I can't purchase while at Disney). I've packed the "re-wedding" stuff already, now all I have to do is pack the rest AND pack up the car. We leave Saturday and should arrive on Sunday.
So you'll be all packed for my birthday! :cool1: I hope they will televise the royal wedding here in the United States - I plan on taking the 29th off - and will watch it if it's on TV.

Good luck with everything!

I haven't been around much lately, but I still can't believe that your VR is less than a month away! You must be so excited!!

Michelle sweetie - I am so excited for you!!!! I will be me next and I am so determined to (at least try) not to panic about anything and spoil things for myself. As I have said earlier in my PJ, I am unlikely to be blessed with the ooprtunity to have this special day again, and want to enjoy every single second of it - including the last minute packing whirlwind etc!! I am getting to the stage where I am trying to make myself realise that I have done and planned all I can, and, apart from forgetting to pack something important :scared1:, there is very little that can go wrong now - not that is within my control anyhow. My fear is that the weather will go dramatically wrong but that is within the control of a higher power and nothing I can do on that one!!! So enjoy these last planning moments!!! It won't be too long before we are both the other side of our big days and we both want beautiful memories!!!

Krysen - Lovely to speak to you again. I must admit to being all excitement. The cottage is beginning to look like a warehouse as I start to think about getting together the things that are going to Orlando!!!

Joanne I'm doing a :dancer: because you are at the 3 week mark!!!!

I can't wait to meet you and yes I am also hoping to make it to James' ceremony too. :goodvibes We've got to figure out what to wear so we stand out from the rest of the onlookers. :rotfl:

I'll PM you my cell phone number once you hit the 1 week mark so you can have it (1) in case of an emergency because its always good to have a contact/someone you know (2) so we can meet up. :)

Oh yay Crissy!!! I can't wait to meet you!!! I am so glad you will be around at James and Jeffery's big day!! Perhaps we can stop off for a coffee at the Boardwalk Bakery after we have sticky beaked the ceremony, and really have a good chat!!
I have told my planner that we may have a local friend joining us for our ceremony and she is cool with that!! Come along and have some cake!!

I thought I might post our music choices. We have hired the talented and lovely Christine McPhail to play the harp at our ceremony and cake/champagne mini-reception. We have selected the following:-

Seating of guests - A selection of classical melodies (to include 'Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring - a favourite of mine, although it's likely I won't hear it!!) Here is a link to it being played on the harp - unfortunately not by Christine, to give you an idea!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJVdVl0x9ec

Entrance of the Officiant and of Paul - Stairway to Heaven (um... Paul's choice not mine!!!)

Entrance of MOH (who will be escorted down the aisle by her little brother) -Theme from Swan Lake

My entrance - Canon in D (again not really my choice - I feel it is too popularly used in weddings, and I wanted something different, but it is Paul's favourite and he wanted to watch me walk down the aisle to it!!)

Recessional - Handel's Water Music (I love Handel!!) Here is a link to this piece being played, (again not by Christine), but on a harp and flute, in case you aren't familiar with it!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwmUBAEV5zc

During the cake/champagne - A selection of Disney tunes

lovely music choices!

I thought about Handel's Water Music for our recessional music, but instead using the (quite similar) "Arrival of the Queen of Sheba" :goodvibes

The harp is a beautiful sounding instrument, perfect for your VR!

Hope you are enjoying the sunshine today :goodvibes

Emma princess: x

Sweet Emma - glad you like the music!!! I love 'The Arrival of the Queen of Sheeba' too!!!
Both our days are getting close now!!! How your final planning going?
I am enjoying the sunshine (as unexpected as it is!!!). I hope it is a good omen for lovely weather in Florida. In all the trips I have taken out there, I have never been particularly lucky with the weather. Maybe this time (please....:worship:)

I hope you both can make it. Plus with extras at the ceremony it will be even more fun. I hope you can make it in at the Bakery at the Boardwalk. When we went for our planning session the line was out the door. You could not even touch the place. This was a Friday so I hope during the middle of the week it will be slower. We still want to try the bakery someday. I can't wait. I am so looking forward to seeing your ceremony on the boards. Are you plannning on posting teasers or are you going to wait until you return home?

Joanne, I really like your music choices. It's very sweet of you to honor your husband with his choices ... that will make the VR even more special I think! :goodvibes

We're having Christine too and I'm so excited to have a harpist!

And listen, you are going to have BEAUTIFUL weather. There is just no other option, so we're just going to think positively and make it a self-fulfilling prophecy! :thumbsup2

Dearest James - I can't wait to be at your ceremony and if Crissy will be there so much the nicer!!! Wow, I didn't realise that the bakery was so popular. Ihave always fancied trying it out, but we'll have to see!!! I am not sure about the teasers. We will have to see. DD is taking her laptop so hopefully, if some of my guests manage some good shots, I can get to post them.

Amy sweetie - Thank you!! I guess I had to let DH have his way with some things eh? :goodvibes
Christine is so talented, I can't wait to hear her play!!! Have you chosen your music yet?
Thanks for the posotive thoughts on the weather!!! I am keeping everything crossed!!!!

Claire sweetie - You really are a little monkey!!! You have me seriously considering that lovely set to give my dress a different look for the TTD session!!! I won a little money on my fun bet on the Grand National today and would love to treat myself to this. My only fear is that it won't arrive in time!! I have e-mailed the seller so we will se what response we get. I'l keep you posted....

Great music choices!!!

I can't believe how close you are!! I'm so looking forward to reading all about it after!! I haven't read any trip reports yet on a swan wedding :)
