Jimmy Buffett at Jones Beach NY

Hey all...
Tickets for Jimmy Buffett at Jones Beach went on sale this morning at 9AM, they were sold out by 9:05 (Jones beach holds 14,000)
I was able to get 6! whoo hooo and not in too bad of a section either (Section 2 about 3 sections from the stage, there are 5 sections all together)


Did anyone else get tickets, or try to?

The whole ticket selling things fires me up! When JB came last year he was at a pavillion-type facility. Lots of outdoor seating. I believe the tix were sold out within 5-10 minutes. I think there are so many corporate seats that are given away and not many for the general public. We did go thanks to a friend of a friend. And..they were given to us for free!! I just don't think they are fairly sold. Had to vent...

I think you are right, I mean out of 14,000 seats how could they sell out in 5 mins?
Im sure there are a ton of seats that never even see the public!

The best seats were 90, then 75 and then 39....we got the 75.00 ones and I was buying at 9:01!!

We got 6 tickets cause there are alot of our friends that want to go, but I see from Ebay alot of people buy them and sell them there....ours were 87.50 after all the fees and there are some up on ebay that are in just about the same section that went for $320.00!! for two!!

I told the other couple that we know are going for sure, we should sell the other two and go for free (practically!) lol

Yes, Jones Beach holds a bunch of Orchestra seats for corportate seats. I wanted John Mayer tickets and slept through my alarm last Saturday, and tried to get seats at 12. They had terrible ones left.

Four days later my friend Lisa called me and told me her dad got us Orchestra seats through work.

It is only one show, I have no idea where he lives but if I were him I would live on an Island somewhere...LOL

I just looked it up on line and it said Jimmy Buffet Currently lives in Palm Beach Florida....that could have been out of date...but that is what I found

JB owns homes in Key West, PB, Long Island, and his native Mississippi. I believe he "helped" his sister open a restaurant in MS. I am just waiting for them to add Detroit to the tour list. I have seen him the past 2 times and both were great shows.

What bothers me is that even before the show there are tons of tix on sale on ebay. 3/4 of the tix go to scalpers. I tried to buy for Camden and was shut out again. But if I want to spend $200. for a $36. lawn seat I can get them on ebay.

Im not actually a parrot head, this is my first Buffett concert...but even I should know that,,,,,considering I typed his name into ticketmaster a million times today...LOL

Jimmy sings to me everyday on my treadmill! " Boat Drinks, Bring me Boat Drinks!" Well, thats what I'll be singing as I board the ship this summer.

I didn't even know they went on sale DARN!!! I even signed up for that tixmaster notice of fav concerts. I wonder why it never came - oh well, I'll have to check TM everyday now to see when they release more seats (which they ALWAYS do very slowly). At least I got Aerosmith at the Beach - they sold out in under 3 minutes!!
