Jim Caviezel switching dates for CP

I posted on the CP thread but haven't had a response. I guess I'm the only who is affected by the change or I've missed posts about this topic which is possible. We specifically wanted to see Jim Caviezel. He has switched dates for his performance. Are my dinner reservations unrefundable - can I switch dates? I specifically reserved the dates he was listed for because we wanted to see him. I may just have to lose this reservation. I really don't know if I want to go now.

You can cancel up to 48 hours in advance. To move your reservation, I think that you have to cancel and rebook. I think that he moved when Gary Sinese had to cancel. Sorry for your disappointment. I know that I would be very diappointed if I were in your shoes as that is who I really wanted to see.

Thanks for your response Tia. I'm glad to hear that I can cancel at this point. I thought I was "safe" selecting dates that weren't booked for Gary Sinese. Guess that'll show me. THank you so much for responding to my post.

Hi Jane!

There was a pretty big discussion about this a few weeks back on the CP thread when the announcement was made. I for one was very disappointed but I am greatful to be going to WDW so I guess I can't whine too much! hehe Believe I whined for a few days after I found out! hehe

We got "stuck" with Jaci Velazquez. Wish we were seeing Mr. Caviezel, but if anyone has to do it over Christmas, I'm glad it is such a great guy!

Add us to the list of whiners. I specifically booked the CP for our very first night, because it was Jim Cavaziel's last night. I was not happy when the change was announced and we got stuck with Jaci Velaquez. However, I think seeing the CP our very first night is a great way to start our trip off (whoever the speaker is), so decided not to change dates.

Who is Jaci Valasquez? When I read over the list, her name was the only one that I didn't recognize!

Jaci V. is a very well known singer in contemporary Christian music.

We also have the CP package for when Jim C. was to be there. But we have found most narrators to be very good at this. Ben Vereen was a very pleasant surprise as he added much to it rather than just reading from the script.

Yes, we were dissapointed, but looking forward to Jaci also.

Thanks for your responses! At least I'm not alone. We're still discussing what we want to do. I'm sure Jaci V will be terrific. We really wanted to see Jim C but we don't want to go that close to Christmas. I just couldn't believe when I got that postcard. The amazing thing is that I missed all of the discussions about it. I'm on the Dis almost everyday but I was focusing on the Wine Festival instead of keeping up with the CP discussions. I did go back and find the posts on the initial CP thread. I'm so thankful for all of the updates on this board.

bummer...I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention to what is going on here! I was so looking forward to seeing him. Now I don't know when we will go over for it. We will be there for 8 nights, so I guess we have a few to choose from. Darn.

I booked the CP package to hear Jim C. . I cancelled and got a refund. I'll still go see the CP, but I'll wait in the standby line instead and save the money.
