Joining in! Yes, I thought the same thing. If you are having to think about things, something is off. Also, I thought Chris was leading her.

I think BOTH Kiptyn and Reid needed to say, "Love doesn't work on a pre-planned timetable. we need more time to S-L-O-W-L-Y get to know each other and fall in love. I couldn't do it on an arbitrarily imposed time frame. Tell the cameras to stop shooting and they can shoot the marriage proposal in a month from now, as we take the time we need."
