In the canada bachelorette thread I picked Ed at the beginning of the show, so I'm feeling totally smug about it right now

Do you think they will announce next season's bachelor on the after the final rose show tonight? If it's Kiptyn, I'm not watching. Guy is a mile wide and an inch deep. He didn't shed one tear when Jillian kicked him off. He managed to say "I'm Hurt". what! Not even "why" or any of the real emotions that Reid expressed. Dude was initowinit, that was all.

Did anyone else think that Reid could have taken a few minutes to put on a clean shirt and take off the clown shoes before he proposed?

I glad she picked Ed! I really liked Reid too but I would have been strange if she picked him. I read an interview with Jillian yesterday on People.com where they asked her who she thought would make a good Bachelor and she said Michael (the breakdancer) and his twin brother! That would be interesting....two of them. You would have girls that would take either one of them, wouldn't matter.

I think they have probably been watching the show all along like the rest of us.

And I would hope they realize after being on the show themselves how scripted thing were.

She has to act like she likes the guys that are left at the end or else we would all know who she likes more and stop watching the show.

Did you hear her comment to Ed last night? "It was so hard not to tell you how I felt and that I loved you for a long time."

I was watching Jillian's expressions for the past few weeks. It was so obvious that it was always Ed. She had to play the rest of it out to finish the show, but I think she knew for awhile. Even her body language in Kiptyn's room was very telling.

I thought so, too. She said something to Ed at the end, too, about loving him but not being able to tell him. They have to make it seem like she loves the final 2 or 3 and is having a hard time, but it looked like an act to me. It looked like an act on Kiptyn's part, too.

The ring is nice, but I liked some of the others he could have choosen better. I'm not to keen on the pear-shaped diamonds.

At least it's pear shaped and not heart shaped. I still liked Kipper's ring better. Then again, mine is an emerald cut so I prefer non-rounded diamonds.

Part of why I liked the ring because like Ed, it's just a little weird and a little off.

It's not an easy to love ring, just like Ed strikes me as someone who isn't necessarily an easy to love guy.

He's not polished like Kiptyn, he has trouble keeping eye contact (imo not because he's shifty but because he's nervous about sharing his feelings), and frankly, he needs Garanimals to dress. For the final rose ceremony he had on a yellow shirt, a blue suit, and a purple tie.

But, y'know, I like guys like that, where it's not all about the polish and the perfection...
