We have done Boma and enjoyed the spices though found it difficult since DH cant (doesnt like them - not allergic)eat nuts and most dishes there contain nuts. Jiko seems to have less nut dishes. Is it the same sort of spices / flavors ?

Jiko can accomodate any special food requests. When we were there last weekend the chef came out and spoke with the woman at the table next to us about her multiple food allergies and suggested he put together a custom meal for her. I think the only really spicy thing on the menu is the shrimp curry. It is wonderful, and we had great service, too.

The food at Boma is great and we had no problems finding nut-free food for our son who can't eat nuts. But I would also like to try Jiko--Boma was so good that I am curious about Jiko. Boma was a great chance to try some foods that you don't find in restaurants very often. We got to interact a bit with the Boma Chef and I think the two restaurants share food talent. They really love food and cook it well at Boma.
