First some background - We made our annual trip to WDW from Dec. 8-20. For the most part we split meals for dinner on this trip. Since my wife lost 95 lbs on Weight Watchers 4 years ago we split most of our meals so we can have starters and desserts.
We arrived at Jiko at 7:45 for our PS and were seated within 10 minutes. We started with the Roasted Tomato and Spinach Flatbread and it was as good as always. We have never had a bad flatbread here yet. We next each had the Fresh Squash soup and it was very good, it had sunflower seeds in it and it was very good.
For our entree we had the Wood- Grilled Pork Tenderloin w/ sweet potato dumplings and mushroom ragout. This was by far the best meal we had on our trip. The Pork was so tender you could cut it with your fork.
For dessert we had the Apple Spring Roll and it was out of this world. The combinations of Granny Smith Apples, Vanilla Bean Sauce and Passion Fruit ice creme were great.
This is the 4th trip that we have made it back to Jiko's and we have never been disapointed. To round off our perfect evening we hoped on a bus to Downtown Disney to transfer to a POFQ bus or boat. When we got underway our bus driver asked us which resort we were staying at since many couples come over to AKL to simply have dinner at Jiko's or Boma. We told him we were staying at POFQ and he proceded to drop us off at our resort right on the way to DD. What a perfect way to end our day. The Disney magic was in full force with this cast member. Next up our review of Spoodles.
