I'm hoping I can get some opinions on which of these would be the better option for a really great steak in WDW.

I understand that both are two different categories of restaurants, but it would effectively cost the same amount to dine at because if we go to Le Cellier we would be booking the Candlelight Processional Package which is $55 + tax for an adult according to last year's pricing.

So---if we are looking for a good filet mignon and just an overall nice dining experience, where would you go---Jiko or Le Cellier??

Jiko, hands down. It is not even close. Much nicer atmosphere, better service and the filet is absolutely to die for.

Jiko, Jiko, Jiko. (I cannot mention anything about filet mignons as I do not order cuts of meat in restaurants.)

That's quite alright---I'm looking for opinions on the steak and the restaurant as a whole. Thanks for the input!! :)

I'm a Jiko fan. I've tried the meat when someone else ordered it - it was good. I won't order a whole one because I have an issue with fat on meat - I can't stand looking at it, which means I have trouble eating it. If I can't see the piece of meat before they bring it to me I won't order it.

Well, at 17-4...I'm guessing Jiko would be the better option.

Thanks everyone!

jiko- not even a second guess. Le Cellier is overrated and gets good marks from people on the dining plan who get good value for one ts credit i think. Jiko is on a totally different level of dining

We ate at Jiko last Oct and Dh just fell in love with the place, the filet was outstanding. We went back to Le Cellier this past March and again he loved the filet but was very quick to point out that Jiko was so much better.

Now everywhere we eat at WDW he says Jiko still wins for the best filet

I voted Jiko, BUT I have to say it was extremely difficult for me. I *loved* both these places. I found the atmosphere at Le Cellier more "homey and comfortable" while Jiko is more upscale. The food was great at both places, but I admit, Jiko was just that much better. It really is top notch.

DH will be thrilled to hear this. He likes a good steak. Doesn't have to be the biggest----but cooked and seasoned well is a must!

I'm glad we made the right choice, now I just have to wait until September to get the ADR!! :rolleyes1

Jiko, no question! Was there last week and had a terrific meal from start to finish.

For an great Adult meal Jiko hands down.

Definitely Jiko!:thumbsup2

Le Cellier is overrated, IMO & the atmosphere is dark & squishy.

Jiko is in a gorgeous resort, where you can check out the animals in the different savannahs, relax in the beautiful lobby, or sit in a rocking chair by the outdoor fire pit before or after your meal. The food at Jiko is fantastic as well!!

I like both - BUT, Jiko hands down!! Jiko is far above LeCellier any day!
