We already have Yachtsman on our honeymoon list to do but would like to add another signature.

We are stuck between Jiko and Flying Fish. We both like all types of food.

What would you do?

I recently ate at both on the DxDP last week. Honestly, you can't go wrong at either (we also at at Citricos, Artist Point, and Cali Grill and both FF and Jiko certainly held their own with those).

Between the two of them, I thought Jiko had a slightly more relaxed atmoshpere (restaurant is much darker than FF). On the other hand, we had the best server of our entire trip at FF.

As far as the food goes, I probably liked the overall meal (appetizer + entree+ desert) slightly better at Jiko (I ordered a flat bread appetizer, the filet, and the cheesecake). However, the snapper at FF was the best entree I had the entire week.

I left both restaurants extremely pleased and satisfied.

I would do both and skip Yachtsman. But if you insist, I would choose Jiko over Flying Fish. It's got a better atmosphere and I like the food just slightly more.

We did both our last trip and I am doing Jiko next time and skipping FF. I liked FF. I liked the atmosphere of AKL better and the food better. Both were great though.

We have dined at both many times. We prefer the food at Flying Fish but prefer the atmosphere and dining experience at Jiko.

Both of these I'd choose over Yachtsman.

FF! :thumbsup2 Never been to Jiko. Been to YSH, and I think in our past 2 visits the service and food quality has gone downhill, but the $$. Jiko is on our list "to DO", next trip. I agree skip YSH and try FF and Jiko

Love questions with no wrong answers. Although I'd give the edge to FF, it might really depend on where I was staying and what else I was going to do that night.

Our whole family thinks Flying Fish has the best STEAK :rotfl: on property. Lots of other folks on these boards have said the same thing! We've been to Yachtsman, and agree with pp's who said skip it and do Flying Fish and Jiko

I agree with those who prefer the atmosphere at Jiko & the food at Flying Fish. It's a tough call, but I'd probably go with Jiko for a honeymoon. For a family with young kids, FF would be the better choice.

My vote is for THE FLYING FISH....I love that restaurant...best dinner and dessert I have EVER had, EVER PEOPLE!!! Delicious, nice server...it was a 10 out of 10 for us!!! :goodvibes

oh no now im thinking jiko and flying fish! my reason for yachtsman was to enjoy drinking at f &W then walk over to yacht club n enjoy our meal

Flying Fish is walkable from food and wine. It's only like an extra 2 minutes. Just take the left to the boardwalk instead of going straight to the yatchsman. I agree I'd do FF over YSH.

I would consider Jiko a don't miss restaurant. It is hands down our favorite restaurant on property. We go at least once a trip and won't miss it. They have some of the most unique flavor palates of any restaurant I've been too. The atmosphere is also much more conducive to a romantic meal than FF.

We've been to all three. Jiko is probably my favorite of the three - great menu, nice relaxed atmosphere, just an overall great experience. Yachtsman comes in a close second - the menu isn't as interesting, but I think it's a really cozy restaurant and we really enjoy the food. It's so conveniently located (we often stay in the Epcot resorts area) so it's at the top of our list. Flying Fish is good - I love the menu and the location is perfect. But I think the brighter dining room and noise factor kick it down a notch for us. Just not as cozy and relaxing to us as the other two on your list. We also haven't experienced as friendly service at Flying Fish as the other signatures (including Yachtsman, Jiko, Bluezoo, Il Mulino, Le Cellier, Brown Derby, Narcoosees and California Grill), but that can vary anywhere.

With Yachtman's, you already have a dining location near the Boardwalk. I would recommend a trip to Jiko's in order to experience a different vibe and wonderful food.

And congrats on your wedding and honeymoon!

One of my best meals was at Flyin Fish! The best oak grilled Salmon that I ever had! Yummmmm! :)
