I am planning a Grand Gathering. One night we are doing a signature restaurant without the kids. We've narrowed it down to Artists' Point and Jiko. Which do you like best?

TIA!:goodvibes

Jiko- for us it's our top pic- the food and service are fantasic, Also the decor is unique and beautiful!

Oooh that is a very hard decision. Both are outstanding and on the top of our restaurant list.

You really can't go wrong with either.

We are staying at WL for the first time in September and I am curious as well about Artist Point. I want to try Jiko SO bad, but staying at WL has me leaning towards Artist Point for convenience this trip.

Any suggestions would be great!:yay:

We've been to both and have had excellent meals both times. My DH would probably give the edge to Jiko, but I liked Artist Point a tad better. I got the filet at Jiko which was delcious, but in the end, I wondered why I got that because it wasn't that different. I like to try new things. We had excellent service at both. Both servers recommended wines. I loved the Artist Point wine and just liked the Jiko one. Artist Point will be more quiet. We had kids at each, and at Artist Point they seated us completely by ourselves.:rotfl: Jiko is a louder restaurant, and they seated us right in the middle.

You can't go wrong! Have fun!

Our group likes both but would all vote unanimously for JIKO as being better.

We have never tried Jiko, but when we went to Artist Point we were a bit disapointed. The food didn't wow us and definitly did not warrent 2 ts. It was nice that we were staying in WL so going home was nice and easy. (we thought CG was worth the 2 ts).

But since you are goign with a large group the commute back should play a factor for you.

I vote Jiko - we've had dinner there twice and both times it was outstanding. The decor is lovely and they have a creative and tasty menu.

Artist Point was a real disappointment - I know it's a favorite around here but we were not impressed.

Heres another vote for Jiko. While we enjoy Artist Point, we LOVE Jino. IMHO the menu is way better at Jiko too

It's like picking a favorite child :lmao:

I adore Jiko. I just posted that it's tied w/Flying Fish for our fave. My parents ADORE Artist Point so we're probably going back there this trip with them. I think the food in both is outstanding but I love the decor at Jiko. AP is a little bland on theming IMO but both offer excellent food and service.

How about trying both? :woohoo:

I have to say JIKO. We'll be making our ADR's for September next month and we were just discussing it tonight. DH and I both agree that JIKO is the only restaurant that's an absolute must.

Thank you all so much! I think I was leaning toward Jiko, but we are staying at WL so I thought Artist point would definitely be convenient! AKL is so beautiful, though! The rest of the group needs to see it!

Ok, all you Jiko lovers out there....

I just made a reservation for our (DD 21 and myself) upcoming trip in May.

What would you recommend on the menu for 2 failry adventurous eaters?

One of you should definitely get the Taste of Africa Appetizer!

We loved the Fillet too.

AP rarely gets any recognition on the DIS, but Jiko is wildly popular. We are planning on trying both on our next trip.......glad to see so many people enjoy both.

:thumbsup2
