Jiko not serving filet??

I was looking forward to trying the filet mignon with mac and cheese at Jiko after hearing such great things about it, but I don't see it listed on the menu here:http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=229

Has anyone been there recently who can confirm or deny if the menu has changed? According to that site, it was last updated 8/10. Please say it ain't so!

I always look at the official disney menu on their website and it says that the fillet is still there... though wdwinfo and allears do an awesome job sometimes they are wrong (so is disney's site too) ...so I wouldn't fret quite yet but according to the official disney site its there

However, someone reported there was no pistachio creme brulee anymore when they went to Jiko last month. Yet when I checked the menu on the Disney site several days later, it was still posted. Unfortunately, I think there may have been some recent changes that aren't showing up on the posted menu.

Menus tend to change seasonally and this is the time of year they seem to switch to more fall offerings BUT that filet has been a big hit so I think it's pretty unlikely it's gone. Sometimes revamped though.

I read recently on the boards that there was a new chef, or am I imagining that? I think there were some menu changes as a result.

The filet is on the menu you linked, but it's in the wrong place. For some reason, it's listed in the kids' menu section. That particular menu item is a staple of the restaurant and I wouldn't worry about it going anywhere.

If you're imagining it, we've got the same imagination, because that's what I thought I remembered too. And I thought I heard that he'd made quite a few changes.

Well I ate at Jiko in the middle of July and myself and my parents always order the filet and at the end of our meal the waiter told us how there was a new chef. He went on to tell us how the new chef was planning on changing the menu and removing the filet and another item (I don't remember) from the menu. I was hoping he would change his mind since soo many people love the filet but I guess not.

I read elsewhere on the Dis that the shortrib, my favorite menu item at Jiko, is gone.

Also, it looks like the Ostrich appetizer is gone. Too bad, it was wonderful!
