Jiko -> Epcot — Enough time?

We have Jiko dinner reservations at 7pm tomorrow night and plan on being inside of Epcot before 9pm (Extended hours 9-11). Will we make it by 9? How long should we expect for dinner?
We are staying at AKL and can check in early for dinner, if that might help?

IMO, that's going to be pretty tight. I always allow 1.5 hours for dinner at TS restaurants. Getting "inside of Epcot" before 9 PM would be pretty difficult.. Are you driving, Ubering or taking Disney transportation?

We could Uber, but we plan on Disney transportation. I’m refreshing trying to find a earlier time pop up. We have 6:30 for Sp220 but we really would rather stick around the hotel till a bit later, we want to relax a bit instead of leaving for Epcot at like 5pm. In a perfect world…. 6ish dinner at Jiko would be great.

We are taking a Uber the next day to make a reservation already… I would rather not Uber for this too. So I guess bus. Maybe I’ll just do the 5:15. Even though it is super early.

If it were me I'd do the 5:15 and keep checking for a different time. I'd probably do breakfast or brunch, and skip lunch for a snack so I'd be plenty hungry for the earlier time.

I would not want to rush through a meal at Jiko. As PP said, I’d allow 90 minutes for dinner there. And hope you get to the AKL bus stop just as the bus is arriving, not as it’s pulling out.

Agree, keep the 5:15 (ideally look for a 6). In the past, we are always at Jiko at least 2 hours. Then its a matter of how long you wait for a bus (if using their transportation).
Even if you wait for a bus, you should get there with time to spare.

Suggest setting up a reservation finder at touring plans. Has worked for us many times.

Well, in the end, it doesn’t matter. SW canceled our flight this morning and has ZERO other flights out of Houston today and tomorrow. So we are driving. Canceled all reservations for today.

thank you! And yeah, it kinda blows. I was able to cancel Y&Y and Jiko’s for today. I’m going to try and see if they can refund or give us ticket credit for the two days we are not going to be in the parks now (today and next Sunday) and refund two days of Genie+.
Really bummed to be missing extra hours tonight at Epcot. But after a 14 hour drive, I just don’t think leaving immediately for Epcot is a good idea.

You are lucky and was able to get ADR with Jiko. I've been trying to get an ADR for the week of July 9 and I am coming up with absolutely nothing. Any tips? I was wondering as I have paid attention to when is the 60 day time frame and On day 1, nothing is coming up from Jiko.

I'm also looking for Jiko that week and someone said in a fb group that they called and were told Jiko hasn't released any of their July reservations yet. Just waiting...
