Would I have to dress up to eat dinner there? Thanks.

I went solo a few years back and wore jeans and a nice shirt not a T shirt and they said it was fine. Hope that helps.

Depends on your definition of "dress up." They just don't want cutoffs or short shorts or torn jeans; things like that. Flip flops or sneakers are OK. It's not formal in any sense of the word, not like Victoria & Albert's. Neat & clean seems to be the watchword.

On our last visit in August, I planned to dress up a bit for the signature restaurants we ate at for dinner, including Jiko.

Specifically, I packed a nice polo shirt in my park backpack to change into for dinner (from my usual park T-shirt).

Anyway, on the day we ate at Jiko, we spent the day at AK, and made the mistake of riding Kali River Rapids. (My wife refused to ride it, and she was smart to avoid it. This is because she remembered getting soaked before, whereas I didn't recall getting very wet at all during our previous visit.)

As you might expect, my son and I got completely soaked. We didn't have time to go back to our hotel to change. While we both had dry shirts to change into for dinner (polo shirts), our shorts were completely drenched.

So my son and I both wore the brand-new men's bathing suits to dinner at Jiko that we bought right before dinner in the AKL gift shop. :) They looked just like dress shorts. Nobody gave us any trouble.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: A couple of years ago I saw a young lady turned away at Jikos. You could tell they'd just came from the pool. Her hair was up in a pony tail, but wet. She was wearing flip flops and a rather sheer white swimsuit coverup that came about 2" above her knees. She kept telling the CM that she was dressed appropriately because she was actually wearing a dress.:rotfl: The problem was you could easily see her wet flowered bikini through the coverup.:rotfl: Her husband/boyfriend had wet hair too, was wearing flowered board shorts, and a sleeveless muscle shirt with flip flops. They didn't say anything to him, but told her she was not dressed appropriately because her so called 'dress' was almost see through with a wet bikini under it.:rotfl::rotfl:

When we went in September, both DH and I wore jeans. He wore a polo, and I wore a nice shirt. We didn't feel out of place at all. :) It was also our favorite meal of the trip (actually, our favorite meal at Disney World - period!)
