Jiko dress code?

I just made an ADR for Jiko on November, and the agent told me that the dress code there was business casual. That's pretty vague, so

A - can anybody tell me what is acceptable dress at Jiko, and

B - is it really enforced?

Business casual typically means a nice pair of pants (or dress shorts) and a collared shirt for guys. Women should be similarly nicely attired. Some no-no's include t-shirts, cut-off shorts, flip-flop's. The idea is not to look like you just came from the pool.

Is it enforced? Unfortunately no.

Nothing to add, except my 2 cents;) Jiko is a very nice restaurant and in keeping with the atmosphere and cuisine, Disney is informing you of the dress code in advance so that you can dress appropriately. Not at all stuffy or truly "formal" but a huge step above Disney theme park dining or a buffet. They do not want you showing up in sweats, tank tops, jeans, etc. Of course there are variations on jeans and tank tops that would probably be quite dressy, so it is hard to gauge/enforce.
P.S. Jiko is my absolute favorite Disney restaurant! I hope you have a great time!

Last time we ate their DH wore khakis and a polo, DD (17) wore jeans (no rips or tears) and a halter with sweater over it, and I wore capris and a sweater. We saw that most folks were dressed pretty similarly.
It is a great place...you will love it!!

Jeans and dress shorts are perfectly acceptable at Jiko. The dress code makes no mention whatsoever of footwear.
The code is not enforced, so do not be at all suprised if you do dress "to code", others in the restaurant do not.
Here is the actual code:

Should add that the "jacket optional" part is somewhat interseting--been to Jiko multiple times over the years and cannot recall anyone EVER wearing a jacket.

That's odd b/c I am almost always told by WDW Dining "No jeans" when making my Jiko reservations :confused3 Not that I worry about it... if I were to wear jeans they'd be nice anyway. I dine there so frequently that I don't worry about the "dress code" b/c I know what is appropriate.

WDW Dining isn't always the most reliable source for information--once in awhile someone will report that a CM told them no shorts.

A jacket? At Jiko's? I don't think I've ever seen one there, either. The dress is much more casual than I would describe "business casual" but not quite as casual as at California Grill (where many people DO come straight from MK for dinner.)

I love Jiko's! Great food.

I have seen men wearing jackets at Jiko numerous times and I have worn oen there myself at least once.

I wore a casual skirt with open flat sandals & my DH wore a collared button down short sleeve shirt & khaki pants. We felt we dressed appropriately dressed not overdone nor under.
