I was at Jiko last November and I ordered seared scallops with a sweet corn and pea succotash which was served over a crisp fried patty which I forget the name of, and it is driving me crazy that I don't know what it was.
I remember the waitress telling me the patty was sort of comparable to African "polenta", again it was formed into a disc, breaded, and then fried, not to mention awesome, which is why I want to figure out what it was. Maybe mealie pap?
