Jigsaw puzzle help!!

DS got for Easter 3 of the Disney Panorama 750 Puzzles and we started doing the first one tonight. After putting together the border of the puzzle, we find out the puzzle 37 inches long which is 3 inches longer than a card table. Has anyone ever used one of those Puzzle Mat things that you can roll up the puzzle? How do they work so that it does not come apart when you start to roll it up?

If anyone is interested, we got the puzzles at Target and the one we are doing is Cast of Characters. We also got Disney Villans and Disney Kiss, there is also a Disney Pets.

I can't help you with the puzzle mat, but here is another idea. When I was little, I had a puzzle that wouldn't fit on any of the tables in my family's house. My Dad took several cigar boxes, ducktaped them together, and then covered them in brown package paper. It worked out real well.

How does it work that when you roll it up it does not all fall apart? I think I will pick one up today.

I love putting together jigsaw puzzles, and I'm heading to Target today to check out the ones you mentioned!

I bought one of those roll-up mats and attempted to use it, but I just couldn't do it. Somthing about rolling up my partially finished puzzle and leaving it like that bothered me. I have to have easy access to my puzzles. The mats are made of felt (or something similar) and come with a plastic tube that you inflate and place on the mat before rolling it up. The tube helps to keep the puzzle together.

I have a large, cork bulletin board that I build puzzles on (it's portable and easy to slide under the couch or bed) or I just take over the entire dining room table.

I use those thick poster boards (maybe called display boards?). I do my puzzle on one and then use another to cover it so the pieces stay in place.

I just love puzzles. I've never used one of those roll up sheets.. Just doesn't seem like it would actually work.
